'The property is hundreds of acres, with brilliant star-filled skies at night, our five year old caught large mouth bass in the pond, we had a fire and smores in the giant metal fire pit, ate dinner outside on the back patio two nights, enjoyed the quiet of the country side, hiked the five miles of trails that are maintained on the property, sat by the gas fire place in the living room at night, prepared large meals in the kitchen and lots of coffee in the outer kitchen, found crawdads in the...

'We had a lovely stay at the “Writer’s Cabin!” It is small but so cozy and perfect for two. We had rain at first but when the skies cleared we went for a walk and explored the Chessie Trail. A lovely walk along the river. Hosts are very gracious. Easy check in and check out.'

'This cabin is lovely, cozy and very well appointed. The back deck and early spring views of the Maury river were beautiful and relaxing too. Great location close to Lexington but still felt like a real escape. Our host was accessible, friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely be coming back!'
