'We really loved the location of this property as it was right in the heart of downtown Blowing Rock and above a lovely restaurant with great breakfast! The house was clean and well stocked and we would definitely recommend it to others looking for a luxury experience in the mountains.'

Location: Lake James is very large, deep lake, but with state park and camping facilities on a large portion, the houses are limited compared to other lakes and crowds are very light. Easy to reach just a few miles off highway. House: One of the best stocked houses ever stayed in with almost anything you could need. Very comfortably housed 2 families of 5 in 4 bedrooms. 'We were concerned about the rain and cold that was predicted for the one night we were staying here..but honestly, once we got to the cabin, we forgot that it was nasty outside! The cabin is so cozy - we lounged around and watched TV, had the fireplace going and just had some family time! With 4 adults and 2 dogs, we did not feel like we were overcrowded or anything. A lot of thought was put into the details in this home and we loved every minute of being there!'

Lots of opportunities for games and walking, plus a beautiful balcony for eating and viewing the mountains. Wonderful local activities like hikes and walking around the small city of Blowing Rock. Grandfather Mountain was great. Bass lake and Boone’s Greenway trail were fun. Hope I get to come again.'
