'There are definitely some house issues that l see from other reviews that were still present during our stay. Not sure if they were communicated to Jennifer directly or just left in the review, but l addressed them in an email to her and she was very responsive so l hope they will be corrected for future renters. But these were just minor irritations compared to how wonderful this house was for our group. The location was great. Granted you would not walk to the slopes with all of your gear, etc...

'We traveled here with 6 adults and 3 children and had a wonderful time! The cottage is in a beautiful location and close enough to get to stores and restaurants. It’s incredibly clean, well-appointed and perfect for big groups. The owners are very friendly. We enjoyed exploring outside and playing games with the kids. There are also lots of hiking options nearby. We were there for a wedding but we would definitely come back!'

'Three friends gathered for a “guys weekend” in Lexington. Buffalo Bend was a great place to stay as a base for hiking, paddling, and seeing Lexington and Natural Bridge. Love the outdoor covered patio area, hot tub, fire pits, and grills. Note you are right next to the highway, but the cars lessen by bedtime. Also only the one bathroom, but it was enough. I’d certainly stay again.'

'This home exceeded our expectations in every way from the reservation point up to check out. The views were amazing as were the finishings in the home and easily met the needs of our eleven person party including several young children. great road hotel, will stay again.
"Good location for travelling, even close enough to drive downtown Staunton. Hotel grounds very neat and good parking, first impression inside very clean and open and very friendly staff. Room was spacious and quite clean, bathroom needs some professional plumber do the caulking and removal of mold, though generally clean. Breakfast was quite varied, with as well choices for a healthy breakfast, though also very sugar loaded choices. Service at breakfast was perfect, the ladies kept all super clean and tidy!! Environmentally the breakfast was horrible, only Styrofoam, even melting plates under my toasted bagel, coffee cups melting, cutlery just unusable - please change to paper (recyclables)!? didn't use the gym or pool, but gym looked light and spacious. would stay again!"
