Nieuw op de huurmarkt! Oak Tree Cottage, een Central Virginia Woodland Retreat

Onze vier slaapkamer cottage is gelegen in Waynesboro, VA aan de voet van de Blue Ridge Mountains. De Skyline Drive en de Blue Ridge Parkway komen hier samen, dus het is ook een perfecte plek voor uw familie om elkaar te ontmoeten!

We grenzen aan het George Washington en Jefferson National Forest en het recreatiegebied Sherando Lake, en slechts veertien mijl van het skiën, golfen en tennis in Wintergreen Resort. Toch zijn we nog zo gemakkelijk te bereiken - verscholen op het kruispunt van de Interstates 81 en 64, slechts vijf mijl van afrit 96 op de Interstate 64. We zijn slechts 27 mijl van de Universiteit van Virginia en Monticello in Charlottesville, VA en slechts 150 mijl van Washington, DC.

Oak Tree Cottage ligt aan de rand van het bos, met uitzicht op de open velden van onze 1.000 hectare grote boerderij en de Blue Ridge-bergen. We hebben wandelpaden, een gevulde visvijver, wilde dieren en vogels kijken in overvloed, en gerestaureerde weiden. Begin september trekken monarchvlinders door de boerderij.

Ontspan en geniet van de natuur of ga op ontdekkingstocht in de buurt van wijnhuizen, brouwerijen, geschiedenis, fietsevenementen, de Appalachian Trail of de kunst. We zijn een geweldige thuisbasis om Virginia te verkennen!

De eerste verdieping van het huis heeft een woonkamer, een volledige keuken met kookeiland, een grote eettafel met 9 zitplaatsen, een kamer met glazen wanden die een volledig uitzicht op het bos biedt, evenals twee slaapkamers en een complete badkamer. Op de tweede verdieping zijn er nog twee slaapkamers en nog een complete badkamer. Het huis heeft warm water plint warmte. We hebben ook een privézwembad beschikbaar voor het gebruik van onze gasten. Er is geen badmeester aanwezig.

Nieuw voor 2020: airconditioning en een laadstation voor elektrische voertuigen!

Huisdieren zijn toegestaan met een niet-restitueerbare borg voor huisdieren.

Spring Retreat

Oak Tree Cottage provided a beautiful place for our group of older friends to enjoy time together. Sleeping arrangements were perfect for our group. We loved being outside on the deck or by the pool and also enjoyed the dining/gathering space across the back of the house overlooking the woods. The hosts were super nice and helpful. Wonderful experience

A gorgeous cottage nestled in the trees

I reserved this location for a small bachelor party weekend. We stayed from Friday to Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is close to 151, allowing us to swing by Devil's Backbone for their Oktoberfest. It is also close to many great trails like Humpback Rocks, which we hit in the morning after Devil's Backbone. The owners are amiable and welcoming. They greeted us when we settled in and set up the firepit for a lovely roaring fire our last night there. The views are beautiful, and the peace and quiet are unmatched. I highly recommend this location for a delightful getaway without being too far from fantastic sights and places.

Beautiful Shenandoah property

The property is set perfectly in a mix of forest, farmland and rejuvenated quail habitat. Multiple Long range views, one that looks towards a perfect Virginia foothill or mountain depending on your personal point of view. The pool is a good size and around 8 foot at it’s deepest. The house came with everything you could need in supplies and was very comfortable. We met both owners and they were very friendly and had great communication. Overall a perfect getaway retreat if you are visiting the Shenandoah region of Virginia and need a home base for your adventure.

The house had everything you would want or need in a VRBO The pool was right outside the front door, loved sitting on the deck with all the shade from the oak trees, great farm to hike, loved the special local treats the owners left. We had a marvellous 3 generational family vacation at oak tree cottage,the hosts were wonderful.the cottage nestled in a copse of glorious old oak trees,peace,quietand serenity,surrounde by nature,a time to unwind and unplug.you felt like you were in a treehouse,eating breakfast on deck or dinner in the screened sunroom.,watching the nuthatches scale the mighty oak,the cheeky squirrels perform acrobatics trying to get to the birdfeeder.the cottage had everything you could need and more.An amazing pool and sundeck,family games,puzzles and board games.Dont worry you wifi wizards it was good enough you could work from cottage remotely,but why would you.Nearby a plethora of things to do ,10 mins away Sherando lake great sandy beach ,swming area,walks,fishing,kayaking and picnic tables.grand hiking,kids museums,caverns and a very well run safari park all within an hour.very close to skyline drive,blue ridge parkway,staunton and charlottesville with bigger lake.All in all everything you could need for a n unforgettable vacation.Cannot wait to go back

Beautiful stay with a big group!

We traveled here with 6 adults and 3 children and had a wonderful time! The cottage is in a beautiful location and close enough to get to stores and restaurants. It’s incredibly clean, well-appointed and perfect for big groups. The owners are very friendly. We enjoyed exploring outside and playing games with the kids. There are also lots of hiking options nearby. We were there for a wedding but we would definitely come back!

Quiet, secluded, peaceful property

My wife and I came with a couple of our adult sons and two close family friends. We had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The pool and the cottage are immaculately clean. The owners live right on the other side of the pool and are SO nice. They even brought over some fresh tomatoes from their garden! And the yummy snacks that greeted us in the kitchen when we arrived were such a nice touch. Highly recommend!

Fall Getaway

Oak Tree Cottage is the perfect place to gather especially if you love being surrounded by nature. The property is very well maintained and the hosts are welcoming. The cottage is super comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. Our family loved the room with all of the windows! While there we attended a family wedding at Pippin Hill, spent a day in Charlottesville, and took a ride on Skyline Drive. After those busy days it was so nice to have such a clean and comfortable place to return to!

Oak Tree Cottage was even lovelier than expected. Immaculately clean, comfortable beds, beautiful views. Peaceful family getaway

Our family loves this home, this is our second time and we are already planning to book again next summer! There are rooms for everyone so the grandparents, parents and kids get to spend a week all together, this location feels like a peaceful oasis. You have a beautiful view of the mountains and woods and we always enjoy spotting all the critters and birds around. Having a private pool for a week is so fun, the kids can play as much as they want, and the adults can relax under the umbrellas. Karen and Dave have stocked this house so well with everything you have at home so it's so easy to relax. No late night runs to the grocery store to get something we forgot. And they are so responsive to any issues, like bringing a new propane tank for the grill. This is truly a home away from home and the kids are already asking when we can come back to Oak Tree Cottage.
