'I recently had the pleasure of staying at the ITC Royal Bengal from April 14 - 25, 2024. It was a very positive experience. Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make me feel welcome. 'I have to give them 5* just for the location and the great staff. From reception to housekeeping and security, everybody is very friendly and trying their best. The property itself is tired. No lobby or lounge as such, no elevator. I saw some elderly people struggle on the stairs. Their traditional suites are larger rooms with a small couch. The heritage is there but I would rate the property an average 2* and it is overpriced.'

'I chose this property because it boasted a swimming pool. When I arrived, I was told it was closed for the winter. I wish they’d told me beforehand. However they upgraded me to a suite. It is a good hotel, a bit soulless but it is situated away from the mayhem that is Central Kolkata. There is good mall nearby and a few decent eateries.'

'Decent stay. Breakfast is not great but will do. You have to walk outside to get to the breakfast area so dont go out in your slippers, especially if its been raining. (when it rains, water collects in the outside area) Walls are on the thin side, so if you're a light sleeper, make sure you have ear plugs. Overall, its good enough given the price.'

"The Oberoi Grand hotel Kolkata. Stay from April 25 until May 5, 2023 The accommodation has met the expectations of a 5-star hotel. The hotel is located in a busy shopping street with a lot of traffic and crowds of people, quite normal for a city with over 14 million inhabitants. Once within the grounds of the hotel, it was an oasis of peace, and there was little to notice of the bustle and chaos outside. The hotel is centrally located from where many sights can be visited on foot. The reception at the gate and entrance by the guards and staff gave us a feeling of warm welcome. The hotel staff are very attentive, helpful and always friendly towards the guests. They are customer and solution oriented and they meet the wishes of the guest. The rooms are spacious and meet the standards of 5-star hotels. The breakfast is very varied and the staff is always ready to fulfill requests beyond the buffet. We have experienced our stay at The Oberoi Grand hotel as very pleasant. "
