'Matera is not the easiest place to get to in first place. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to change plans and arrived by coach bus instead of rental car. The hotel contacted us a couple days before our check in and once they learned about our change if plans, they helpfully pointed out to us that our bus station is actually quite a bit of distance from the hotel. They then booked a taxi for us that waited at the bus station and took us straight into the restricted area inside the old...

'Walking distance of Matura. Very new and complete room with a balcony and free drinks in the fridge. Unfortunately there was no elevator, and the breakfast was not in the building itself. You get a voucher for a bakery around the corner, but it is limited to 2 drinks (coffee and juice) and a sweet and salty product.'

'We had a wonderful stay here in Matera. Check in was super easy, the rooms were very nice, very clean, and the shower was great! I appreciate that they don’t use harsh products on the sheets or anything because some places really do. Not here! The location is great, just steps from the main square which is incredibly lovely. Parking was really easy in a nearby underground parking that is reserved for hotel and apartment guests, about a 4 minute stroll from the apartment. Cheap at 20 for 24...

'The location of this room was very close to Sassi. With a convenient place to park the car. Easy walk to the entire town as well as restaurants in the area. Our host was very helpful the day we checked. Much larger room than most places in Europe. Bed was a little uncomfortable but they we’re changing the mattress Loved it! '
