Our hotel property is designed to preserve the natural dunes of the beach, so our layout is long east to west along the beach, rather than long north to south. The additional benefits are that you get a beautiful view of the Gulf as you make your way to your room. Fun fact about the parking spaces too, as you may have noticed, the uncovered parking spaces are permeable (a grid made of recycled plastic). This allows for rainwater to drain directly into the ground. We do apologize if the walk seemed excessive.

We do apologize if the walk seemed excessive.As a full-service hotel, we are limited by liabilities in allowing guests to take a bell cart, so we offer a personalized bell service for luggage assistance. As awesome as the beaches are, a short walk across the footbridge you can also explore everything the park has to offer. Guests typically love our perfect beachfront location, with no condo towers or buildings on either side of The Lodge. Downtown Gulf Shores is 1.7 miles west while Orange Beach begins 1.5 miles east of The Lodge. Thanks again for your comments.
