'This house seriously needs improvement. The shower curtain was completely busted, so when we took a shower, water went everywhere. Also, the house has so little venting and so much moisture trapped into the carpets, etc, that if the windows are shut, there is significant condensation on the windows. There is a musty smell, and the beds are very uncomfortable. That said, the location is IDEAL, the beach and swimming pool are amazing, and the place is dog-friendly - all of which are serious...

'Our 3rd visit - to relax and enjoy the lake front getaway. How often can you make everybody happy? Smiles from the teenager (Kayak and swim is next, no time to text). Smiles from the wife (read/take in the rays/sun), Smiles from the dog (walks/room to run). Heck even dad was caught smiling (coffee/and a view, eve on the dock w a brew)….'

'My son & I had a wonderful stay on the LYLA, located in the heart of historic Gig Harbor. Nestled between 7 Seas and The Tides Tavern, this beautifully refurbished yacht was thr perfect spot. We had several days of great weather ("The mountain was out!"), and got to experience the Maritime Gig Festival. Wildlife abounds with harbor seals, bald eagles, osprey, purple martins and more. The boat is very well appointed, with an espresso machine and full kitchen. The beds were comfy and warm and...

'The house is located in a semi-secluded area that is amazingly peaceful and has wonderful views. The boat house provided a perfect viewing area to watch some seals that were playing on and around a floating dock. It was a great experience for the three of us friends to get together.'

'We stayed here last August and we had a blast. The view is awesome, the oysters were fab. The house is small but was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Just perfect. Highly recommend the Hama Hama Oyster Saloon, few miles up north. We hope to visit again!'

'We decided to try a boat instead of a hotel for our stay in Gig Harbor. What a fabulous experience it was. The boat was a classic wood hull and interior, beautifully restored, with everything working perfect. Michelle was an amazing host, extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. The setting in Gig harbor was spectacular, views, wildlife....lot's of stuff to do..and within walking distance to the historic downtown waterfront area. HIGHLY recommend you give one of their 3 boats a try!!'

'This house fit all 9 of us comfortably. The old house is a little creaky, but has lots of character. Having three bathrooms was a plus! It has absolutely everything. All the kitchen stuff you would need, lots a games and puzzles, a large deck and yard with lots of outdoor furniture and even a propane heater and fire table. We stayed there for my son's wedding at Thornewood Castle, and my whole family had a great time.'

'Home was comfortable with lots of room to visit and kids to play, close to shopping and restaurants but in a quiet neighborhood. We absolutely loved staying here. 3 brothers and their families and everyone had room. It was perfect. Host was quick to respond when I had a question and house was clean and stocked with necessities. Would 100% stay here again!'

'Everything was as expected and more! There was two days of shrimp fishing and a fisherman who had spoken to us brought us a huge bag of 5-7” shrimp for our enjoyment. We watched two orcas playing for hours from the front porch picnic table while having morning coffee! There were several outlets nearby to the Olympic Park and we saw a herd of Roosevelt Elk at the Jefferson wildlife reserve. Most of all, our hosts kindness and respect plus the cute touches in the cabin really eclipsed the natural...

'Would rate the overall experience as a 6 out of 10. Okay but not great. Property is a bit run down especially the backyard area. Both sliding screen doors fell off the tracks, neither bathroom sink had a drain stopper. Kayaks are a nice touch unfortunately it's a tuff job to get them down to the water and even tougher to get them back to the house. Internet service was good and the TV worked great.'

'My wife and I stayed here for a few nights to celebrate her birthday. Everything was amazing -- a beautiful location right on the water, oysters were plentiful, the hot tub was amazing and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. We'll definitely be back!!'

'Very nice house, great place to stay. Lots of seating, both inside and in the different outside areas. We all very much liked it and would gladly stay again. It was our first time on Anderson Island and definitely not our last. A few caveats, though- the driveway is steep, and made of loose gravel. Can be a bit tricky, particularly if your car is loaded with multiple people. The bunkbeds in the main floor bedroom are rated for a weight limit of 165 lbs- so probably just for kids or smaller...
