'Stayed here as part of the TGO, quiet, right off the Great Glen Way about 5 minutes walk from the tourist cooridor (canals, shops and food). Large grounds. The bunkhouses are.nice, so are the castle rooms. '

'Good hostel, clean, friendly personnel, good breakfast and a large parking. A 15 minute walk into the city. Will go here again when visiting Inverness. Ps long people: our beds were 1.90 m but of good quality non squeeking materials.'

'Het inchecken ging al heel vreemd. We moesten de eigenaar bellen en hij omschreef een kamer waar wij zelf heen moesten lopen, de sleutel zou in de deur hangen. Na veel miscommunicaties kwam hij ons eindelijk ophalen bij de receptie. De kamer was niet schoon en extreem gehorig. Ook hoorden wij de gehele nacht een vreemd geluid in de kamer. Alleen hier slapen als het niet anders kan, anders vermijden! '

'Pretty disappointed overall with my stay. Had there been other options when booking last minute I wouldn't have booked. The room had long black hairs all over the floor and bed when I arrived. The sheet was very thin with dirt on it. Issues that had to be fixed like the window getting stuck and the shower tap being stuck on scalding hot. The fire doors whilst adding security, slam loudly at all hours of the night and the window had to be open at all times since the heating was high. The young...

'It was great. So much better than expected. Beware only three people can cook at a time as there is only three cookers. That said the kitchen is a very good size and generally well equipped. Good sized dinning room. Overall the centre is well equipped, serviced and friendly helpfull staff. Add to boot about a ten minute walk to the town for supplies etc.'

'Excellent location in the town center of Portree. Cooking facilities and a lounge with a beautiful view on the bay. Friendly staff. The shared bedroom, however, was too small for the number of people and not so convenient. '

'Slaapkamer en keuken waren op zich prima maar de badkamer was vreselijk. De laminaatvloerdelen stonden omhoog van het vocht, de douche was krakkemikkig en het geheel was zeer gehorig. Ook heel jammer dat de wasmachine niet door bezoekers kan worden gebruikt hoewel dit wel is geadverteerd. '

'The property was nestled in the lovely mountains of the Highlands. It was gorgeous. It was also a nice drive to and from the Isle of Skye area. The staff, in particular, were very knowledgeable, friendly and kind. They were hardworking and kept the place clean and tidy. Would highly recommend.'

'Staff were friendly and helpful, location handy and beautiful, with red squirrels nearby and nesting house martins. My only suggestion would be that - as we should be reducing meat and dairy consumption for environmental reasons - vegetarian breakfast should be the norm.'

'This was my first time staying in a hostel. It was very well set up. Easy to check in. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the facility. Our room was a bit noisy due to being beside the bathroom but they have rules to keep things quiet during night time hours. We just needed an area to sleep so we did not make use of the other parts of the facility but it looked very well maintained and the shared kitchen area looked very well organized.
