Uitstekende ambiance voor een stedentrip
Een leuk kleinschalig hotel, heel gastvriendelijk, servicegericht, een uitgebreid ontbijt met een fantastisch uitzicht over de zee van Marmara. Dat is SUR hotel. En dan ook nog in de wijk Sultan Ahmet op slechts 5 minuten lopen van Hyppodroom. Dit was de tweede stedentrip dat we logeerden in SUR hotel. We komen hier in de toekomst zeker vaker en willen iedereen dit hotel aanbevelen.

Gezellig familiehotel op goede locatie
Het kleinschalige familiehotel is pas afgelopen winter geopend. Het ziet er allemaal erg netjes (afgewerkt) uit. Het personeel is erg behulpzaam en oprecht geïnteresseerd in de gast. Het hotel ligt in een buurt vol met kleinschalige hotels en daardoor zijn er diverse voorzieningen (zoals restaurants) in de buurt. Binnen 5 minuten, na een kleine klim, sta je op het plein voor de Blauwe Moskee en de Aya Sofia: ideaal! Het ontbijtbuffet is uitgebreid, vers en op de bovenste locatie met mooi uitzicht over de zee. Neem wel oordoppen mee, want het hotel is wat gehorig. Verder prima geslapen!

***Mold and Bed Bug Alert*** During our month-long honeymoon, we stayed at three hotels in Dubai and four hotels in Turkey (Antalya, Cappadocia, and Istanbul). Unfortunately, our experience at the Sur Hotel was nothing short of a disaster. We had chosen this hotel solely for its location. Upon arrival, we noticed several concerning issues. The hotel's ceilings were covered in mold, which posed a significant health hazard. Additionally, cabinet doors were broken, and we encountered bed bugs in our room. Since it was late at night when we checked in, changing hotels immediately wasn't possible. My wife started experiencing difficulty breathing and severe coughing during the night. The following morning, I attempted to cancel our nine-night booking early due to the unacceptable conditions. However, the owner or manager refused any refunds and simply told us, "Take it or leave it with no refunds," adding, "Do whatever you guys want to do. I don't care." We intend to contact the booking website and our credit card company for assistance, but we strongly advise others to steer clear of this hotel for the sake of their health and safety. It was undoubtedly the worst night of our honeymoon. I'm not typically one to write reviews, as I'm an easy-going person, but this experience was beyond anything I could have imagined. If I could give a negative rating, it would be -100. Please, do not stay at this hotel.

They gave me the room next to reception so most of the time I was unable to sleep due to noise. The sheets were not clean and the bed was not comfortable at all.

Direkte Umgebung war eine Katastrophe, aber wenn man 10-15 min läuft ist man „zentral“… sehr altes Gebäude, mir war trotz der „Heizung“ kalt. Bad hatte Schimmel. Personal war bemüht, aber ich bin trotz das ich 4 Tage gebucht und schon gezahlt hatte, nach einer Nacht in ein anderes Hotel.

Hallo, 5 Gehminuten zwischen unserem Hotel und dem Platz. Es ist nicht so weit weg, wie du beschreibst. Unser Hotel hat keine Heizungsprobleme. Nochmals, wir entschuldigen uns dafür, dass wir Sie nicht glücklich gemacht haben.

You have stayed in our hotel for 1 week. We may have shortcomings, but we do not deserve 1 point. your sheets were changed and your room was routinely checked. We had a conversation, I don't understand why you gave 1 point.

The room was very nice, the area was great, everything close by. The breakfast was terrible....and they charged me $6 dollars per breakfast, when it was not even worth $2....The kitchen staff spoke no English and the staff overall were not so friendly. No one came to pick up trash, bring clean towels, no cleaning was ever made until the last day we were there. An uncomfortable atmosphere on the staff behavior.

Die in das System geschriebenen Informationen und Bilder sind vollständig korrekt. Zimmerdetails Lage und Bilder alles sehr klar. Wir haben günstige Suiten und Deluxe-Zimmer in unserem Hotel. Ihre Reservierung ist Economy Zimmer. Wir wollen niemanden enttäuschen. Aber es ist nicht unsere Schuld, es ist deine Entscheidung.

Es war eine Enttäuschung . Zimmer nicht wie auf foto und anstatt 1 einzelbett gab es eine sofa zum aufklappen. Leute waren nett aber zwecks Zimmer tausch hatte sich keiner gemeldet obwohl ich es angesprochen/gesagt habe.

The room you were given had the same comfort and amenities as the existing room. only a single sofabed was given instead of a hard bed. I don't think we deserve this rating just for that reason. However, we want you to know that we are unhappy because we cannot make you happy.

Generally it was a good stay. Dogs barking at night kept you awake some nights. Staff were friendly. Air conditioning leaked on two days and had to keep reminding staff to put toilet rolls in toilet. Overall stay was good.
