'Overall good experience. Location is secluded and close to popular trailheads. I had to fix plumbing issues with the toilet handle and the dishwasher, which isn’t fun and the host hasn’t responded to my message about the dishwasher. They say you don’t need to strip the sheets from the bed….I did, but don’t. Ignorance is bliss when comes to mattress stains. I would consider staying here again because of the location and the hot tub. '

'We stayed here so my husband could compete in the sprint triathlon at Lake Lure and it was just what we needed! A clean quiet place to rest and recharge for each day! The amenities included at Rumbling Bald (which was so close) were fantastic, our kids loves the beach and the pool and lazy river. We will be back!'

'My husband & I stayed here for a weekend getaway. Everything was well described about the unit, amenities, dining, & surrounding areas as it actually is. Super clean, quiet, well decorated, & well equipped unit everything you could need during your stay, including amenity passes & extra phone charging cords, as well as a notebook & books about things to do while in the area. We also had some awesome experiences with wildlife during our stay! Next time we’re in the area, we plan to rent this...

'We've been to Rumbling Bald before so no real 'surprises'. This trip we had a massage, played some tennis, rented a pontoon boat and played pool, at Legends. Cons: wifi is spotty everywhere, twisty/winding roads and limited food choices. The patio furniture was a little worn, there were a few crumbs on the floor upon arrival, and the bed was not comfortable (to us) Pros: Victory Cafe, The Lake House. The views are spectacular and Rumbling Bald has something for everyone. The condo is perfect...

'We have stayed at Appel Valley Villas a couple times now. Even though the space is small, there’s everything you need. We did notice that the comforter needed to be washed and there were extra pillows but no pillow cases, otherwise no real issues. We will be coming back to visit soon.'

'Casey is super responsive and the listing is 100% accurate. The studio was perfect as it has everything you could need and is comfortable in space. Super clean. Location is a 4 min drive to the Rumbling Bald resort and having a pass to enjoy the resort was amazing. The studio is pet friendly and the restaurants with seating outside are as well which made it even better for us to have a true family stay!'

'The property is in bad need of renovations. The carpet was stained and gross and the place was musty and didn’t cool very well. But it was clean and convenient and we had a good time. With just a little bit of work this could be a great place. My brother rented one and the same facility and it was really nice. Gotta admit, I was a little jealous.'

'This place is beautiful! The quality is impeccable. Amenities abound! Cooking utensils, grill, coffee pot, linens, wireless, all there. We enjoyed ourselves so much! The owners communicated clearly and provided excellent directions, instructions, and contact information. They also had light switches and fab switches labeled which was fantastic and so user friendly. The nest ac worked beautifully. The ONLY negative is they truly need to replace the oversized, for children only bunk beds...
