'We booked this last minute and so happy it was available! We originally wanted to stay in Centro Montepulciano and so glad we did not. This villa is just a few minutes from Centro - so it was perfect and we avoided the crowded streets of Centro. Alex is a wonderful host! 'Very comfortable apartment with most comfy beds and pillows on our trip. The view was beautiful but what would’ve made it even better would be to trim the hedge to be able to sit and see it. No privacy would’ve been lost. Changing the outdoor table to wood rather than the white plastic would’ve suited the aesthetic more. 'I’m very sorry to write this but the experience was a very difficult one. No hand soap. No shower soap. No shampoo. No trash cans. No hot water (tried for 20 minutes to make it hot) Had to go to bed with no shower after bicycling around Tuscany all day. Other people’s clothes in the dressers and cabinetry. 'Il Tosco is a quiet, clean and charming place to stay while traveling in Tuscany. The common rooms are cozy and the elegant breakfasts are the best we encountered in Italy. This is a wonderful place to stay with a local quality. Well worth the higher cost. '

It is well equipped for cooking meals and they conveniently provide a starter supply of necessities (kitchen spices, hand soap, laundry soap, toilet paper, etc.).
