Romantische hotels in Mount Desert Island

'We stayed at Breakwater in October 2023 with two young families. The apartment is well stocked and worked well for two couples with three kids under 4. Luke was super accomodating and provided us with pack n plays and a high chair, and was also very responsive. 'Gayle and Rob have been very communicative and gave some great tips already ahead of the trip. Property was very clean and equipped with everything we need (e.g. full kitchen, washer/dryer, heat & cool system, Grill ). Lots of attention to details too (paper towel, Alu foil, olive oil, tabs for dishwasher and washer…). Location is also perfect to reach Bar Harbor and National Park. Big plus was to be able to bring our dog and have ample space to let him run (even though it was not really needed...

'The property owner was wonderful providing info and help as needed. The kitchen was well equipped for those who like to prepare meals. Staying on the "quiet side" of Mt. Desert Island was good for us. We had easy access to Acadia National Park and could drop into the busyness of Bar Harbor when we wanted that experience.'

Everything was clean, comfortable bed, large living room with multiple sofas, well appointed large kitchen and dining area. It is less than a mile from Southwest Harbor and easy access to Acadia. I would definitely stay here for future visits to Acadia area.'

'This motel was clean, quiet, and convenient to Bar Harbor and Acadia. The room was spacious and had a cute balcony for drinking coffee & early morning sun. It was a short 5-10 minute walk to the Main Street in Bar Harbor for shopping and restaurants. There was city road construction being done near the hotel but it did not interfere with our enjoyment of the property. Cromwell Harbor Motel was everything we wanted in a home base while exploring the area. '
