'Hummingbird Hill is beautiful!!! Great place that matched the photos and description perfectly. You will be impressed as soon as you arrive in the area as it is situated in a gated, very nice community where you will feel very safe. It had everything you could need, including fully stocked dishes and cooking supplies…television in every room and WiFi is awesome even if you are in the mountains. It’s in the middle of everything so Asheville, Lake Lure and even Banner Elk are drivable. But...

The kids enjoyed basketball outside, cornhole and ping pong downstairs. While the adults enjoyed the upstairs, great food, unexpectedly good football and family. 'I’ve never stayed in such filthy conditions in my life. The walls and linens looked like literal crime scenes. Even the most basic swipes at cleaning have been ignored for so many years that there would be no reason to complain. Staff was nice but it was very difficult to get a 3rd and 4th towel (despite me checking in 4 people). i had to go to the office twice and beg.
