'It was a nice cozy stay but when we got there the house was still kinda dirty.'

'Our group consisted of two couples in their early 50s - we were in town for a Lakefront Brewery tour and some time in the Third Ward. The place was a great location for being near the brewery and a few other places to grab a cocktail. The Uber ride to the Third Ward from the place was less than 10 minutes, which was convenient. 'It is a beautiful little place, plenty of room for my sister and I to stay. Updated but keeping the old- doorknobs, windows, and hardwood floors. It is walking distance to many stores, coffee shops, the lake, and my brother’s house! I’m hoping my husband and I can stay next month.'

'I messaged them 3 days before the stay for check-in information with no follow up whatsoever and then messaged me and 11:30 the day of our stay that they were cancelling due to a double booking. Completely derailing our morning and added a couple levels of stress to our travel. Would not recommend, horrible response from the host as well'

'I’ve stayed here twice because it’s a terrific location to walk everywhere. I noticed the neighbors upstairs were a little louder this time around, but I know old houses echo. Just something to consider if you are planning to relax or read at the rental. Though I turned on the fan and it drowned out the sound well. :)'

'We were in town for our son’s graduation from Marquette. Our stay was great. The condo was very nice and conveniently located. Parking was a huge plus although once we got there, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go.'

'Andrea the host is great but VRBO is a terrible company through which to rent the apartment. VRBO added charges that were not known to her or to me as a guest. This included a very high service fee as well a damaged protection fee. In addition Andrea charges per night were significantly less than what VRBO charged. Our host, Andrea, is trying to get VRBO to refund some of its charges. Unless they agree I will never rent from VRBO again. Renter beware! If you c'

'I really enjoyed this stay in Burlington! We were looking to explore downtown Burlington and Lake Geneva, and this location let us do both. It was clean upon arrival with perfect amenities. The host communicated abundantly on the day of, and a few days prior. Upon arrival, there was a binder with all of the things we could do in the area and recommendations, which we thoroughly used and enjoyed. We would recommend to anyone looking to book near Lake Geneva or Burlington.'

'The diner has good food and better vibes'

'This is the second time we stayed at The Retreat. LOTS of space inside and out for our family to gather. Kids age 3-10 could not get enough of the heated pool and the adults especially enjoyed the hot tub. We added an 'exrra' and had a small family reunion one of the afternoons and the place was perfect for this. Game room such a bonus when it rained. We didn't need to leave the property but some checked out 7 Mile Fair. Communication with the owner was timely. I'm sure the family will vote to...
