"Check in was ok, functional. They had cookies, cold lemon water and coffee in the lobby which was nice.
Parking was underground, likely secured but not gated and also elevators did not require a keycard which was a bit surprising given the Memphis reputation.
Hotel is a 10-15 minute walk to Beale Street through Main Street. Which was surprisingly quiet and we did not see trolleys as well. We returned right before dark but there was a lot of police on the street.
The main issues are with the noise level in the room. Our room was on the 11th with a nice view on the river and bridge but it also had connecting doors on two sides. On one side the neighbors were audible during half the night even though they were just talking and not even partying or anything. As the doors had no ‘brakes’ on them, every time some one came and went, the doors slammed shut. Really annoying. The state of the room was so-so. Beds were not too bad but rust on the doors, carpet stained and stains on the walls. It was ok for one night but I find it truly poor if a hotel cannot take basic measures to keep the noise down."
