'This place is great! Before booking, make sure you know that you're getting an old historical hotel with unique charm, not a modern hotel. Family run with an awesome crew and very nice owners. You'll probably be sharing a bathroom with other guests which is no big deal. Enjoy the small town and unique experience!'

'I have stayed in log cabins before, real log cabins not prefab stuff so I know what a pain they can be maintenance wise. the logs twist and turn, its just what happens. we had more than a few drafts, but the heaters kept us warm. everyone slept well in the beds. the pond behind this place is an awesome sight in morning. it had a bunch of Canadian geese and ducks on it every morning. I took my kids and my grand kids skiing at Sipapu, they had a blast. drove up to Eagle nest in a pretty good snow...

'So if you're looking for a ritzy upscale property that has all of the luxuries of a modern home this isnt your place. However if you want a place that feels like a home, has what you need to be comfortable, is clean and a nice quiet place to lay your head after a good day of skiing at Angel Fire (1.25 hours away) and at a good price then this place is well worth it. 7 people were with us and we were comfortable. Property manager was more than helpful and helped us with any needs. Will be back.'
