'The property was on great looking acreage.The home was everything listed and more. We had all ages of children and they had a great time.'

'Stayed two nights to watch the 2024 eclipse and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool area with the chaise lounges was perfect for viewing and the river was a nearby alternative. We spent most of our time at the patio table watching the deer and relaxing. The kitchen was well-appointed and we cooked dinner both nights we were there. The bathrooms were clean and the shower had great water pressure. The only negative was the unreliable wifi. Two of our party had to find other accommodations...

'Ash Creek Hideaway is a country cabin with classic southern front porch appeal and amazing wildlife but just minutes from Leaky with town convenience. The house is cute with three bedrooms, a cozy living area, a family sized table, and a well stocked kitchen. Situated just off 336, it a great entry point for any of the Sister rides. Or just sit on the porch or around the fire pit and enjoy the hummingbirds, deer, turkey, bird and squirrels. Highly recommend!'

'This house is amazing! The design is ideal - every room has a bathroom. The kitchen, living, and dining area was large and really family friendly. My kids favorite part was the large pool and outdoor kitchen area which included a TV. In the mornings, you could sit outside with your coffee and watch deer and other wildlife. 'We had 4 couples and 4 kids, and booked almost 2 years in advance for the eclipse. The Rusty Rio is quaint and what it appears to be....a fun and "campy" spot. The only gripe we had was that when we booked, we filtered rentals that had hot tubs, and hot tub was listed as an amenity. It didn't work, and likely hasn't for many years. When we contacted the host, we were advised that it does not work and never has, and that the amenity listing was an error. With that being said, everything else was...

'We enjoyed our weekend stay at The Lonestar Lodge. There was more than we gathered from the pictures. The front porch was nice to sit on with some coffee in the morning, and in the evenings with ceiling fans. The barbecue area also has plenty of chairs and a picnic table to gather while cooking. There is a swing on a tree up front, and a fire pit in the yard to sit around. It is a 2 acre lot with plenty of yard space to play some games and let the kids run around. 'The location along the river, far from the noise of town was wonderful! The dark skies perfect for star gazing! We spent so much time outside on the patio. Nathan the caretaker was very kind, friendly, and checked in on us briefly each day to be sure all was well. A terrific getaway!'
