'The location was great and it was nice to wake up on the water'

'We enjoyed the location tremendously; and, staying on the boat added a charming ambiance to our Amsterdam experience. On the other hand, it is very tattered, dated, rickety and an electrical nightmare. Extension cords and hidden switches everywhere and very dimly lit. Floors covered with throw rugs that all overlap; the walls and ceilings covered with fabric that has been stapled on. And, used toilet paper cannot be flushed down the toilet. So, if you don't mind dealing with all the oddities, go...

'Such a great location. Close to everything and quiet which was exactly what we were looking for! Host was wonderfully accommodating which we really appreciated! Only very very minor complaints were the water didn’t get hot enough to utilize the bath, (I like scalding hot baths!) and the internet was in and out a bit. Everything else was amazing! Would absolutely stay again.'

'La péniche n’existe pas !! Nous l’avons chercher de 16h à 22h, le numéro est faux et aucune peniche à l’emplacement c’est une anarque.. Nous nous sommes retrouver à 8 à chercher mais nous avons tous été arnaqué Hôtel.com a mis + 6h a nous contacter nous avons attendu jusque 23h dehors le soir de nouvel an. '

'This houseboat is not fancy - but it is as comfortable as being at a friend's cabin - we didn't want to leave. We had not stayed in Amsterdam before, so wanted our first few nights to be something unique. The boat was perfect! It was close walking to everything, yet it was quiet and relaxing once inside. Watching the crowded tourist boats traverse the river was a fun diversion. Our friends staying in a hotel were jealous of the roominess experienced on the boat. While we didn't cook, the kitchen...

'The houseboat meets or exceeds expectations from photos and descriptions. It is very well appointed with great amenities and in a great location. Robertino, the host, is very communicative and welcoming, and also a great source for recommendations in the area. We have stayed in Amsterdam before but have never experienced it like this and would highly recommend. It is a destination in itself.'

'We really enjoyed our stay at the water villa. Aalsmeer is a lovely area and the villa was well appointed and very comfortable. As a matter of fact, I think the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in away from home. The host was very responsive to any questions we ha. We would definitely come again!!!'

'Wir sind für ein Wochenende mal ohne Kinder verreist und waren sehr positiv überrascht. Von der Buchung bis zur Abreise hat alles problemlos funktioniert. Die Vermieterin (Anne) war für jede Frage offen und antwortete immer sehr schnell. Die Unterkunft war super, es war sauber und angenehm ruhig(obwohl der Flughafen sehr nah ist). Alles was man benötigte konnte man in dem Wasserloft vorfinden. Für ein verlängertes Wochenende oder eine kurze Auszeit genau das richtige. Wir werden auf jeden Fall...

'De kamer was zeer ruim en over het algemeen vrij proper. Er waren ook verschillende zaken voorzien in de keuken (bv. pannen, borden, bestek, spons en afwasmiddel). De personeelsleden aan de balie waren steeds vriendelijk. Op wandelafstand bevindt er zich een tramhalte waar regelmatig trams naar Amsterdam passeren. Fijne locatie om te vertoeven na een werkdag.'
