'I SET UP A SURPRISE WEEKEND GETAWAY FOR MY HUSBAND, HIS FATHER AND BROTHER GOT TO GO WITH HIM. WE HAVE FIVE CHILDREN AND HE DOES NOT GET OUT MUCH. THE STAY WAS WONDERFUL AND JON IS GREAT AT COMMUNICATING RIGHT AWAY. WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO GET A NICE RELAXING WEEKEND AWAY.'

'We had a great winter getaway in Muskegon and loved this house as our base to explore the area! The property was in a good location and near to sites and restaurants we wanted to visit. Highly recommend nearby Dockside Donuts and Lombardo’s Sicilian Pizza. The USS Silversides Museum was a five minute drive and the Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park was an easy 20 minute drive.'

'Very Secluded, feels like you are in the middle of the woods while you are close to everything. Great common area and kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Only issue was finding it. You have to go past the address and up a private drive that could be a little more clearly marked. That said it is the price of privacy and well worth it!'

'First off.....the host needs to straighten out the listing address for this house. I realize he's been working with VRBO on getting the proper address on his listing, but we literally almost became sick when we showed up at the address with 14 people and saw something no where near what was pictured in VRBO!!! It was a 2 bedroom, 1 bath place and the front door was unlocked so when we walked in and saw this it was quite the shock. The owner needs to let whomever is renting the larger house that...

'Decided last minute to spend 3 days with family. Have traveled to Michigan for 30 years but have never visited the Silver Lake area. The area and the house were both hidden gems for our family. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to relax or have fun including private lakefront access a few hundred feet away from the front door. Nice kitchen with spacious counter, huge firepit, outdoor hot water shower, huge yard, and another firepit at the lake for watching beautiful sunsets....

'This was the perfect property for our group who was in town to visit family. We all had plenty of room, and the house has tons of seating areas. Some of the lighting was a bit tricky to figure out, but that was a minor thing. Only thing lacking in the kitchen was potholders, so we just used kitchen towels and went on with our meal. Hot tub was a nice touch at the end of the day!'

'Grand Haven is my 2nd home and Captain's Cottage is my 2nd home. I have stayed here many times and it's always perfect. So clean (without the toxic clean smell), very comfortable and a perfect location to downtown and the lake.'

'This cottage was great for our mid-winter weekend getaway. It is remotely located on Lake Michigan. We were glad it was not snowy as the road would have been a challenge, but we loved the location. The cottage was clean and cozy and Mike was great with communication. We would stay again!'
