'Lovely hotel. Will say before all else - the food was amazing! Breakfast was brilliant but we also ate in the restaurant the night of and this was delicious. Would drive 1.5hours to come back again! Otherwise the hotel seems to be a little hidden gem. Staff very welcoming to us (and 2 under twos - always a challenge). Very accommodating, great communication and friendly. Hotel itself situated nicely near local castle to explore and easy footpath walks behind the hotel into the hills/by a little...

'This was a really great place to spend the night on my way home. The room and bathroom were lovely. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. Dog friendly. Great location to get on and off the motorway. It was still quite quiet though. '
'The pub is situated in peaceful countryside and is in a great location.
The proprietors were so welcoming and kind, helping me to my room with my luggage. My room was comfortable, nicely decorated and the bathroom clean with nice toiletries.
The food in the pub was good, and the service was friendly and efficient.
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would certainly stay there again if I’m in the area.'

'Such a lovely traditional guesthouse. Ann was a really friendly, helpful host, the room was super clean, spacious and pretty and the breakfast cooked by her husband Paul was fantastic. Beautiful location - Penrith is a hidden gem.

'As described it’s a little old around the edges with some mould around the door frame in our bedroom. Having said that I’d definitely stay again. Very welcoming, comfortable, had our own door into the garden for our dog which was an absolute bonus and to top it all the food was delicious. Really pleased I found it.
