'The overall hotel is every good and have no complaints about the service however I made extra requests for my hotel room which and those requests were not met as a result my stay at the hotel was not pleasant and their incompetence to follow customer specifications was underwhelming.'

'The BnB was convenient for our needs, comfortable and host Sonny was fantastic, if we ever have a need to go back that side of Johannesburg we will stay there again. just a heads up driveway is a bit steep for very low vehicles but with some practice can be negotiated okay.'

'The Bannister Hotel is very conveniently situated for access to Witwatersrand University, where I was doing some research in archives. On arrival, my first impression was discouraging because of people hanging around outside, but the room was good and comfortable and I settled in well. Overall I enjoyed my stay. 'Cozy and comfortable place. Easily accessible. Three issues to improve on: 1. Despite the fact that I had booked 3 weeks earlier, the housekeeper did not have my confirmation. Although it was eventually sorted, it leaves one to wonder. 2. Wi-Fi was only accessible in the main house and not in the rooms 3. Dstv was not accessible. I had to watch crucial World cup games on my phone.'

'This place is nothing as advertised and just a disappointment all around. If you are simply looking for a bed to sleep in and nothing more then it is fine. But the rooms are old and look as though they are hardly taken care of. It felt as though I was at a distant family member's house who wasn't prepared for me to stay the night.'
