'We recently stayed at Tempus and were genuinely impressed by the hotel itself. Unfortunately, our experience at The Orangery restaurant was far below the standard we expected. We arrived for our 7:45pm reservation and were initially seated directly beside the kitchen. 'My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Marshall Meadows Manor House. We stayed one night, but ate dinner and the included breakfast at the hotel. The room was clean, the food excellent, and the staff genuinely helpful. The manager assisted with luggage, provided us with helpful advice for our destination the following day, and was very attentive while also serving at the restaurant. 'A thoroughly enjoyable stay.
We were in room 3 which had a challenging set of stairs, no lift due to nature of the historic building.
Very atmospheric place bang in the middle of the town great access on foot to all amenities.
A 10 minute stroll to the Castle and the excellent car park.
Breakfast was first class value.
The room was spacious excellent shower and roll top bath.
Bar facilities very good small outside beer garden.
