'Leuke doorreis locatie. Swellendam is overzichtelijk en er is een soort van buitenlucht museum en enkele historische kerkjes en gebouwen. De lodge is prima. Aardige gastvrouw. Klein zwembad, helaas met te weinig stoelen voor alle gasten. Mooie tuin. Het ontbijt is werkelijk prima! Very fruit, diverse broodsoorten, yoghurt, confitures en ' English breakfast' naar keuze.'

'We had a fabulous stay at the farms cottage and were welcomed with complementary sourdough bread and yummy spreads. It is very nicely decorated, spacious and comes with a hot tub that is lovely at night time - I never saw so many stars before. We had their on-site dinner the first night: my 3 year old daughter nearly finished the entire piece of lasagne as it was so yummy. 'Truly amazing! Beautiful room, views and pool area. The food in the restaurant was splendid. The only thing that was a bit strange was that breakfast had to be pre-ordered the night before, and coffee/tea was not included. And they have no lunch. I guess my feedback is that they should have more food options available. Another note to future visitors - the mountain road up to the hotel was a bit difficult if you have a smaller car. But other than that it was perfect.'

"Het hotel oogt van buiten erg mooi en straalt statigheid uit. Maar binnen is het ouderwets en erg gedateerd. De kamer was redelijk maar de badkamer was erg vies met schimmel, lekkende kranen en een doorlopende toilet. Het ontbijt was erg beperkt en zag er niet uitnodigend uit. Het is duidelijk geen 4sterren waard wel is het hard toe aan een renovatie en upgrade. Hotel ligt midden in een doods stadje waar weinig te beleven is. Kortom het is het geen aanrader om daar te verblijven "
