'We were a couple traveling from the United States, both in our later 50s. We ended up not staying in the room. After having to bring our four suitcases up two flights of stairs, our room was incredibly hot. When we opened the windows to try to cool things off, we were met by several flies and other insects. The lodging is on a very busy street in Elgin. The room itself was very nice and clean, so for a solo traveler, or perhaps anyone younger than us, this may have been the perfect stay. It had...

'Absolutely beautiful apartment. Great location across the street from the river for a nice stroll on the path by the river. It’s stocked with every possible amenity — even an espresso machine and ice maker. The kitchen is well stocked. The host is exceptionally responsive to any questions that may arise. Check in/out process was seamless. I would highly recommend for a 5-star experience.'

'We had a lovely short stay at Macbeth’s Hillock. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. We mainly stayed there overnight while travelling, but I also cooked dinner there, which worked very well. The location is peaceful, close to local sights, and right next to a farm with beautiful sheep, which made the stay feel even more charming. A very pleasant place for our short stay.'

What an incredible stay i had in the YURT, I could not fault it one bit, the couple who run this site are so so lovely and i can’t thank them enough for being so accommodating, the room itself was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed, the hot tub was just such a perfect addition to the night. The games room was great fun and such a good thing for all ages. Thankyou so much for making our night so special, we will definitely be back !!!'
