'We ( two families with 2 children under 6 each) stayed here for a long weekend. We loved the proximity to the beach, to the view as well as cows and sheep, and access to the beach bar which was excellent. The house though plenty large enough for us, was very open, which meant sounds travelled ( babies crying either early in the morning or late at night). It was cozy and had all that we needed. Host was so lovely and helpful, easy to reach if we needed anything.'

'This house was ideal for us to stay in County Mayo as a base to explore the area. It is just 10 mins from the Town of Ballina and only a short drive to the coast. The cottage contained most things we needed and instructions from the property manager we’re clear and accurate. It was great to be able to self cater as if at home. We would stay again if in the area.'

'After a couple of weeks seeing the UK and Ireland with 9 of our kids and grandkids, we wanted a few days to rest. We loved being in the Sligo area and dining at the nearby Beach Bar. Downpatrick Head was great to see & we even drove to the Giant’s Causeway while we were in the area. Sheila’s house was a nice place to rest and relax. We loved attending church in nearby Screen. A great ending to a great trip!'

'We stayed at the Aughris House and Annex on our recent trip to Ireland. Both are wonderful units in a beautiful and idyllic setting with excellent access to hiking trails, restaurants, and a variety of local sites. The units were clean and fully equipped and Sheila made the check in extremely easy and responded quickly to any questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Aughris House and Annex to others!'

'Our family of 4 spent 6 nights at this lovely place and had a great time. Good location - we were able to explore the area (Balleek Forest, Westport, WAW coast) but you would need a car. The house way wonderful - lots of space and super comfy beds. My kids didn’t want to leave - swing sets, hot tub, beach, and donkeys - what more could they ask for.'

Amanda und ihre Familie sind freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die alles tun, damit ihre Gäste sich wohlfühlen. Wir haben uns sofort willkommen und wie zuhause gefühlt. 'This cottage was absolutely perfect! Cozy and clean. A well equipped kitchen. We made several day trips to Sligo, the Aran Islands, and most of the Wild Atlantic Way. Yes, it was a drive…but this cottage was so comfy to come back to each night!'

"Beautiful well preserved house. Very nice landlady/ owner, great hospitality. The house expires a authentic athmosphere of the past. Great for music, art and literature with piano and library. Very quiet besides some sheep, interesting walks into the Ox mountains. Mind your head within the house."
