'We started our NZ vacation here after landing in Christchurch and it was the perfect start. The pub served wonderful appetizers and desserts. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the bay--great for settling in and relaxation. The pool was cooler than I hoped. Breakfast is self-serve with limited but thoughtful options. Sharing facilities wasn't a problem, but there weren't many other guests during our stay. Staff was warmly welcoming and very accommodating. '

'A very enjoyable stay in a quiet spot with view- just what I like. 'Beautiful setting - felt like being a time and a world away. Fresh eggs & cookies in the kitchen. Dogs had a wonderful time. Shower is delightfully hot. Had never taken a trip through the hills before, highly recommended, and if you’d like staying away from the hustle and bustle then this place is the one.
