Wonderful Holiday Vacation
This property is fantastic—beautiful views of the ocean and a calm and safe bay to swim in. Our 4-year-old loved to snorkel in the bay, and with a live vest, we felt fine letting her build her confidence in the ocean. Akumal, in general, is a safe gated community with lots to do and great places to eat. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Best vacation ever
The property was in excellent condition, accurately shown online, located in a beautiful neighborhood. Just steps away from a lagoon inlet with incredible snorkeling with tropical fish, sea turtles and abundant sea life. Experience of a lifetime for my wife and I, and our 6 children, ages 25 to 12.

Family trip to Akumal
Beautiful house and setting. Do snorkel in the laguna, it was the best. Octaviana and Pedro were great. The one day fishing trip for some of the party was quite spendy. You really need to have a car to see the ruins and cenotes.

Private and relaxing
Our family had a wonderful time at this property. The caretakers look after the guests and have tips for navigating the area. I definitely want to plan a return!

What a fabulous place
We absolutely loved this house. It's location on the water was perfect, with front row seats to the lagoon, the waves, the sounds and the sunrise every morning. It was spacious enough to provide privacy for anyone needing a quiet space to read. Octaviana and Pedro are kind and beautiful people and it was nice to know they were always nearby if we needed something. The lagoon in front of the house was a bit rough for snorkeling as the waves were very choppy, but official entry was just 5 minutes away for a small fee. Akumal is much quieter than Tulum, but has some excellent restaurant choices. We all agreed we wanted to return and stay in Casa Christensen again.

Incredible. I would change nothing.
I'm less than 24 hours from the trip and I'm already missing everything about this house. We stayed there with one other family, 7 people total. The two small bays for snorkeling, the lovely caretakers, the perfectly done decorations, the beautiful space...I'm tempted to lie and say it was terrible so it will stay available for my friends and I to return, but that'd be cruel. If you're considering this house, book it right now.
