Lighthouse Cottage - Dit huisje drijft in het hart van de 1000 eilanden

Wij heten u welkom in het The Ledges Resort & Marina! Wij zijn gevestigd aan de St. Lawrence rivier tegenover Boldt Castle. We hebben uitzicht op het kasteel, Sunken Rock Lighthouse en het belangrijkste vaargeul. We hebben dekken, dokken, hangmatten en tuinhuisjes. Ze zijn geweldig voor het bekijken van schepen of vissen. We hebben onlangs gerenoveerd in de grond zwembad. Er zijn buiten vuurkorven waar je onder de sterren kunt opwarmen. We zorgen zelfs voor het brandhout! Er zijn veel open gazons om te vangen, gazonspelletjes te spelen of gewoon een wandeling te maken.

De Ledges biedt een rustig uitje met 6 hectare aangelegd terrein langs het water. Hoewel het terrein privacy en veel ruimte biedt, bevinden we ons niet op een afgelegen locatie. Het is een snelle en gemakkelijke wandeling naar het centrum. We zijn dicht bij alle attracties. Op de Ledges heb je het beste van twee werelden; ontspanning en gemak!

De vuurtoren is een huis met 3 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers. Het is eigenlijk een drijvend huisje! Als u uw eigen boot heeft of er een huurt, kunt u deze direct voor uw woonkamer vastbinden! Er is een dek helemaal rond het huisje op het lagere niveau. De hoofdslaapkamer heeft een balkon met uitzicht op kasteel Boldt. Het is een geweldige plek om te vissen of gewoon te ontspannen en te genieten van de rivier.

Boven: De slaapkamer heeft een queensize bed. Het balkon heeft een spectaculair uitzicht op het kasteel van Boldt en Sunken Rock Lighthouse. De tweede slaapkamer boven heeft 2 queensize bedden. De badkamer op de bovenverdieping heeft een opstaande douche.

Beneden: Er is een grote ingang. Dit leidt naar de slaapkamer beneden, badkamer en woonkamer / keuken. De slaapkamer beneden heeft een tweepersoonsbed. De badkamer heeft een bad en douche. De woonkamer wordt gecombineerd met de keuken. De keuken is voorzien van een groot fornuis / oven, grote koelkast / vriezer, magnetron, koffiezetapparaat en vaatwasser. Het heeft alle nieuwe kookgerei, potten, pannen, glazen en schalen. Het is van alle gemakken voorzien. Er is een eettafel met stoelen voor 6 personen. De woonkamer biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de rivier. Er zijn openslaande deuren naar het dek. Het dek is uitgerust met een eettafel, stoelen en gasgrill.

Luxe shampoo, conditioner en handzeep worden geleverd door Beekman 1802. De bedden zijn opgemaakt met fris beddengoed. Badhanddoeken, handdoeken en washandjes zijn ook aanwezig.

Alles is voorbereid en klaar om uw vakantie ontspannen en comfortabel te maken. Breng jezelf maar!

Awesome House on the Water

This property was awesome! Stayed with some co-workers for a fishing charter trip. House was clean and fit 5 people comfortably. Met the people at the rental house next door and made new friends. Property has a bunch of firepits with awesome view of the sunset over Boldt Castle. The owners were great to communicate with and very accommodating. We are hoping to have the entire office stay at the Ledges for next year's fishing trip.

We enjoyed staying here. There were a few hic ups but we survived. Downstairs bedroom door doesn’t close because of the bed frame but for us it was fine. There are only 2 bathrooms. It says 3 bathrooms in amenities but that is false.that was a disappointment because there was seven of us in the house. If you have two vehicles, you can only park one near where you stay. The other one has to be parked in the overflow parking lot. We stayed in the floating house and the house definitely does move with the water so if you have motion sickness, you would definitely want to take something and bring something with you. We use patches behind our ears so it wasn’t too bad for us, but you can feel the house moving, especially when a boat goes by, it was very peaceful. It was nice to sit on the deck at sunset. We rented the pontoon boat and a captain and that was great. We enjoyed that very much. We were able to anchor the boat and go swimming the house clean and we were very close to thousand it’s a five minute drive , we would definitely stay here again. The owners were nice and communicated back-and-forth when needed.

Great stay in A-Bay

Our family loved our stay here. The check in process was very easy. The house was clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking - which was a great bonus. The property was so beautiful and well kept. We loved watching the sunset in the gazebo, relaxing in the hammock and fishing off the dock. The kids had a great time in the pool. We were about 5 minutes from downtown A-Bay and 20 minutes from Clayton. We would very much recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in the area. When we come back we would definitely stay here again!!

Good experience

A little surprised how small it was as it looks bigger in the pics. Staff was friendly and helpful. I think it’s pretty high priced for not being able to check in till 4pm and out by 10am. Not enough time to fully enjoy the stay. However, overall it was an incredible view and good experience.

Wonderful stay

My boys, 10 and 12, and I stayed at the lighthouse cottage at The Ledges. Our original plans were to have my parents and my husband with us, but separate family issues arose that halved our party. There would have been plenty of room for us all to sleep comfortably. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable, including the lovely front deck right on the water. The grounds are beautiful and comfortable as well, with a hammock and three separate, spacious areas for camp fires. Communication with Nick and Amy and their team was top notch from beginning to end. Each individual we interacted with was friendly, prompt and very helpful. We rented one of the available boats one day, which was a seamless experience and very convenient, and both Nick and Eric went out of their way to assist me. Almost everything seems to have been thoughtfully arranged from the wares in the kitchen to the bucket of kindling and campfire wood neatly stacked by each campfire pit and replenished daily. My one recommendation would be for outdoor cushions on the wooden chairs on the deck. Otherwise it was a very comfortable stay and we hope to return!

This property was everything we hoped it would be and more. The host was great. The property was clean. The cottage had so many fun features. You could tell the owners strive to give everyone the perfect stay. Roasting marshmallows, fishing off dock, swimming. Thank you we will be booking again.

Great place and location!

We loved this spot. Great view. Could dock the boat right outside the house. They provided linens, toilet paper, Kleenex and Lysol wipes which was very nice. Been some places where they had no toilet paper. Used the kayaks. They were very nice as were the life vests. They even provide fire wood for the fire pits. Overall we had a great time.

Terrific spot on the water

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our main regret was only staying 2 nights. Beautiful view; sunsets were gorgeous. If you're looking at the picture with 2 cottages side-by-side (view looking in from the water), it's the one on the left. Great fishing right off the dock - perch, bass, and some big carp. Multiple fire pits with plenty of chairs on the property, so you don't necessarily have to share a fire with strangers if you don't want to (owners supply firewood). Great views of Boldt castle on the property; unfortunately not from the cottage itself. Amy was an exceptional host.

Wonderful stay!

Visiting from Southern California for a wedding at Thousand Islands Park. Stayed in one of the three bedroom units on a floating pier. Quiet, beautiful unit right at the entrance of a small marina, our fishing charter picked us up on the dock! Very special for landlubbers. Owners couldn’t be nicer and accommodating. Kids can catch fish right from the unit off the railing. Close to restaurants and market. Fire pits to enjoy the evening. Go there !!!

Awesome place to stay for vacation!

The house was better than expected. It's floating on the water, with a beautiful view over the lake. You can also see the castle! On the deck is everything you need for BBQ and eating outside with this amazing view is an experience! The only minus is that the fireplace wasn't working and there was not enough cups & silverware for 8 people. But I'm sure the host will take care of! Thanks so much!
