Shore Cottage ligt in het dorp Tarbet, op minder dan 1 uur van de luchthaven van Glasgow en op 5 minuten van het treinstation Arrochar & Tarbet aan de West Highland-spoorlijn. De accommodatie is ideaal gelegen voor liefhebbers van buitenactiviteiten die het Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park willen verkennen, wandelen en fietsen in het Argyll Forest of de Arrochar-Alpen willen beklimmen. Een uitstekende uitvalsbasis om naar het westen te rijden naar Inveraray of de trein te nemen naar Oban, Fort William en Mallaig. Het huis slaapt comfortabel 10 gasten met vier tweepersoonskamers en een stapelbed, flexibele accommodatie maakt het mogelijk twee tweepersoonskamers met twee eenpersoonsbedden te maken. Met een grote woonkamer met een open haard, ruime serre met uitzicht op het meer, een eetkamer en knus, leent Shore Cottage zich voor een familiebijeenkomst, speciale gelegenheden vieringen en outdoor avontuur zoekers. De tuin heeft een voorgevel op de bonniebanken van Loch Lomond met een prachtig uitzicht op het zuiden. Het Loch biedt tal van opties voor wateractiviteiten: kajakken; speedboottochten; en paddleboarden. Geplande cruise- en waterbusdiensten vertrekken dagelijks vanaf de Tarbet-pier, zodat u toegang hebt tot de ontoegankelijke aan de oostelijke oever en enkele verborgen juweeltjes in het nationale park kunt ervaren, zoals het beschermde dorp Luss; Inchcailloch Island en de Ardess Hidden History Trail. This place is absolutely beautiful the bedrooms and sitting rooms overlooking the lake are beautiful and peaceful, the cottage is well set up with everything that you need it’s like a home from home. I will definitely be back, it’s a nice peaceful break.

Family 90th birthday celebration

Beautiful location and excellent size of house with plenty of space for a family celebration. Lovely bed linen and towels. Comfy beds. Well equipped kitchen with plenty of good quality dishes, glasses, and cutlery. A few pots and cooking trays could do with being renewed or deep cleaned. Would recommend and would visit again.

Fabulous house

Rented the house for a birthday treat with my friends. The house was fabulous, well equipped and beautiful inside. There is nothing I could fault with it. Location was great, beautiful outlook. It was that good that we booked it again before we left it. Totally recommend using this house.

Perfect for a family get together

We stayed here for a surprise birthday party for my partner. House was perfect size, great to all (pretty much) have enjoyed suite. Loved the loch being just at bottom of the garden. Great wee starter pack left in the kitchen was much appreciated! Communication with Auchenheglish was great too - very friendly. Thankyou

Stunning accommodation on Loch Lomond

Wonderful family accommodation for our family gathering to celebrate our daughters wedding. The house was amazing, plenty of rooms with comfortable beds, absolutely stunning views of the loch. Beautiful garden and plenty of parking. Discount offered on the cruise on the loch which all 17 of the immediate family did - choppy day but still worth it. Excellent facilities and perfectly located. Nothing at all to complain about - it was simply perfect.

What a place

The house and location are just perfect for a family trip in Scotland. Considering the size of the house, it was incredibly clean and the facilities were more than enough for the capacity. With all these en suites, the kids felt like Kardashians. The added touch of being left bread, milk butter etc was such a kind yet unexpected gesture and provided the warmest welcome to kick start our week at shore house. I have already recommended to friends to check it out.

Comfy house with an extraordinary view

Lovely stay at the shore house

Late September

Shore House is in a beautiful location on the banks of Loch Lomond with a large garden and its own beach. The house Is dated but was very clean with a good supply of logs for the open fire. There was a problem with the heating system which was quickly remedied by the owners however our query about a missing sitting room curtain was unanswered, The master bedroom ensuite smelled slightly damp. Despite these minor irritations, our party which included 2 dogs and a baby had a lovely stay.

Booked for a family birthday so had an age range from 4 weeks to 90. The welcome pack was much appreciated and Liz was amazing, she helped us with a heating problem even when she wasn’t on duty. Only one personal thing, I prefer a softer mattress

wonderful location and view. Well spaced out, comfortable accommodation. Great service too.

My wider family (8 people) had a fantastic stay at Shore House, Tarbet. The view alone is enough to take your breath away. The house is effectively a convenient, single level layout with the bedrooms away from the living accommodation, which makes it really nicely spaced (noise, away from cooking smells etc). Lovely mature, well-managed garden which touches the Loch. Plenty of kitchen utensils, large full height fridge and large full height freezer, utility room and 3 bedrooms have en-suite facilities with one of the larger bedrooms (without en suite) being alongside the family bathroom, so this all works well. Tarbet is really convenient for getting around this Loch as well as the nearby ones (Long, Fyne, Katharine etc) and also for taking the ferry around Lomond and to the other side (eastern). all in all a wonderful stay. thanks so much! adam

Even nicer than expected

Shore cottage was even nicer than expected. Spacious and well equipped, spotlessly clean and with many thoughtful touches. The views were fantastic and it was lovely to be able to wander through the garden and down to the lake (we swam there every day). Although some things were shut locally due to lockdown, we still managed to do nearly everything we planned including wake-boarding, hiring bikes and taking a boat trip. Liz was exceptionally helpful and flexible with lockdown uncertainties - responding very quickly to emails, changing dates and so on. Our whole experience was very positive and we would certainly go again and highly recommend to others.

Great weekend was had by us, ladies at Shore House, Tarbet.We are a group of friends who meet up annually for a quality catch up. The property was ideal, clean and well equipped,directly situated on the shore with beautiful views over the loch and mountains. We had a lovely time just chilling, drinking and enjoying the beautiful views from all of the windows. We also received a discount for a boat trip which was also enjoyable. We would thoroughly recommend and certainly be back.
