Luz Vacation
Great location, house was great, clean and perfect for a group. This was very close to a 5 start review. But, we just had a few small issues that a little TLC would have remedied. When we told our host of an issue, it was addressed and fixed in a timely manner. We had a trouble with a drain that had rusted off. ( fixed promptly) The ice machine in the fridge didn't work, and the 3 rooms in the basement were not the best over-all. But were satisfactory. In saying that, this place was great, and had a wonderful vacation here. Would stay here again.

All about the view
Stunning view from the property and a lovely home to stay in. A short walk into town (even for my 81 yr old mum and step dad with knee replacement). Host was extremely responsive when we needed them. Really lovely stay.

Gorgeous views and plenty of room
We had a wonderful stay. The outdoor area is so lovely. We spent most of our time outside on the patio overlooking the ocean. The cleaning people accidentally turned off the hot water but it was dealt with. Other reviewers are correct about the downstairs bedrooms they are dark and it is damp downstairs. The only issue really was the lack of towels. There wasn’t enough so we we continually doing laundry. The top four bedrooms are magical all en suite baths with breathtaking views. Pool was very very cold most of us could not swim in it. It really should be heated. Overall we had a wonderful time. The ability to walk into the adorable village was a delight.

Wonderful villa
Wonderful villa in great location, very clean and excellent amenities. We were a group of 8, age ranges from 18 to 80 and this villa was ideal for a family celebration. The outdoor space was perfect, great sized pool and lots of space to spread out and relax. Kitchen is spacious and very well equipped. Nice bedrooms, four large doubles on the first floor with access to a shared balcony and great views. The three on the lower floor are fine, perfectly well equipped, but just without the views. Location is ideal, short walk into Luz, with plenty of nice restaurants and bars and supermarkets. Overall a great holiday and we would definitely return.

A big house with everything you need for a group of friends to spend some days together. The highlight is the outdoor area, with a nice pool Sand an amazing view. I can recommend the place for a group of friends or a big family holiday as well.

Paradise on the Ocean
This house is spectacular. After I got back to Austin, so many of my friends and colleagues commented that this house looks straight out of a Hollywood movie and that me and my friends are lucky to have stayed here. The check-in and house instructions are clear. It was a smooth process. The wow factor starts the moment you open the front door. The spectacular views of the house grounds and the ocean behind it wows you the moment you step in. All top bedrooms and large and beautifully designed to have more views of the ocean and the coastline. Everything inside the house is tastefully decorated. There are so many amenities (for multiple age groups) that we did not even get a time to enjoy fully in our stay here. Please do yourself a favor and stay here if you are traveling in a large group. Moreover I would recommend this town of Luz over other towns spread across the Algarve coast. Thanks for reaading and hope you have a great vacation!!

Awesome house on the water in Luz
Amazing, well stocked, beautiful and yet easy large home on the water in Luz. Four full master suites (yes, King beds!), downstairs rooms with tons of games for young and old! The pool is magnificent with tons of outdoor space for cooking, eating, socialzing. Will stay again!

Stressed out the day before travel as we couldn’t get in touch with host or property manager. Sorted at the last minute. Great location just 10-15 min stroll into Luz. 4 1st floor bedrooms are georgous overloooking pool & sea. Other 3 bedrooms are fully equipped but in the basement with no view. If you filling this villa up 3 rooms are definately the short straw. Only other complaint is that we could get constant hot water in any of the 1st floor bedrooms

Modern Luxury Villa
This beautiful villa is flooded with light and stunning sea views. It is decorated in a modern eclectic style with lots of comfortable seating and room to spread out. The kitchen is fully equipped and has an outdoor grill alongside the large covered patio. Four upstairs ensuite bedrooms with balconies also have wonderful views. Three smaller bedrooms downstairs adjacent to the game room are less desirable but fine for kids/teens. Stairs in this three-story house and around the pool can be slippery so caution is needed. You will not want to leave the wonderful infinity pool and beautiful grounds but take the short, easy walk into town and enjoy its many cafes, restaurants and the beach, This is a great place to vacation with your family and friends.

The property is extremely beautiful. The location is amazing. The pool area is perfect for holiday. Unfortunately the cleanliness is nearly non existent and bed bugs plagued the one room downstairs. The TV does not work and the wifi only works on the main floor of the house. The BBQ is not usable and the kitchen equipment is tricky so eating out was our main option. It is a pity that the cleaners don't take pride in their work because this property has incredible potential.

Amazing Villa
We couldn’t imagine a better Villa to spend with all the family. Rooms upstairs have a great view but as per other reviews the downstairs one are only suitable for kids with no view. We were all very relaxed there and Joana and her team were very helpful if we had questions. Thorough recommended.

A Special Holiday.
We are 8 male golfers who for the last 20 years have played a week’s Golf every May in the Algarve and enjoyed all that the Algarve offers in all aspects. We are now well into our prime, none of us under 70 years of age and decided that as this might be the last time that we might all manage the trip that we would find a special location for us to have a lasting memory of “the boys golf week”. Casa da Luz was a great choice, scenic, beautifully decorated, spacious in the extreme, lovely gardens and a wonderful swimming pool. No complaints on any aspect, top class in all regards.,

Lovely villa but not quite perfect
The overall presentation of the villa is lovely and the uninterrupted views out to sea were particularly impressive. There were a couple of minor flaws which stopped it from being completely perfect. For example, the online listing stated that there was a hot tub; however, this was not correct - there were just inside whirlpool baths with showers overhead. An outside hot tub would have been incredibly welcome because the outside pool was far too cold to use. We found it very hard to use the showers; the fittings were fiddly and temperamental. The sink plugs in the kitchen and one of the bedrooms were not sealed properly so that water drained away. In the basement, we were told not to move any of the furniture, but the pool table was placed in such a way that the pillars interfered with several shots - this was badly thought out. We only used the 4 upstairs bedrooms and we were very glad that nobody needed to use the 3 basement bedrooms because they were far inferior. None of this prevented us from enjoying our holiday. We must say that the owner, Joana, was incredibly helpful and responsive and owns a truly beautiful villa.

Absolutely beautiful.
Stunning location. The photos don’t do justice of the views and setting. Four great bedrooms upstairs with views of the ocean. Would have preferred natural grass in the garden rather than AstroTurf but that is personal to us. The villa was well equipped. The three bedrooms downstairs are not comparable with downstairs. They are substandard and limited natural light. This was not a problem for us as we didn’t need them. However more than four couples renting could cause problem as who sleeps below.

We couldn’t stop staring at the sea. The house was perfectly located on the cliff-side. The pool was also beautiful. Luz is a sweet town to spend time in, but it’s also a quick trip to Sagres or Lagos or Faro.

We had a great time at this amazing house. A stunning view in an outstanding area. The house is perfect for a large group of people. Each bedroom has his own bathroom. The kitchen is very well equipped. We couldn’t have asked for more. Even some gadgets for for the pool like inflatable matraces were available. Additionally it was very clean and as a complimentary welcome there were some groceries already waiting for us. The contact to the agency and the house owner was always very friendly and helpful. Three generations of our family spent a great week at the villa. Needless to say the pool was the highlight, much better than the photos. The welcome pack was great, the best we have ever received and much needed as the weather was sooo hot and a beer was needed. My youngest grandson (5) learned to swim another highlight. The rooms were fine especially upstairs and the air con much appreciated. Bit of a trek to the beach but kept us all fit. If we all get to holiday together again would certainly consider a return.

Superb Property
Firstly, the location is incredible. It provides a quiet setting for slowing everything down and watching the sailboats float by. It is also a short 5-10 min flat walk into the interesting town of Luz which has good grocery shopping and many pubs and restaurants. The pictures on the site do not do the place justice. It is Rock-Star caliber. The cleanliness and upkeep of the place is fantastic. They even cleaned and washed the garage floors! Denise who checked us in was fantastic with help from making dinner reservations to solving problems. The washing machine broke mid trip and she had the tech install a loaner while the machine was being repaired First class all the way

An adventure
The house was even better in real life than in the pictures. The daily service was impeccable and when something didn’t work (e.g lights in the pool), they had it fixed within no time. Kitchen was well equipped, private chef amazing, both pool and play areas were great. Often rentals doesn’t have enough places to sit for everyone, but this place has 177 chairs :-). Thank you for a great week! We give this place top score.

Luxury Lodging
This home and it’s views are as beautiful as the pictures portray it to be. All 4 of the upstairs bedrooms have an ocean view and the first floor rec room was the perfect play area for kids and adults alike. An additional plus was that the property manager had stocked the house with beer, wine, milk, fruit, pastries, bread, and bottled water. It may not sound like much, but after a very long travel day, it was the most wonderful gift to be taken care of in that way upon arrival. Would absolutely stay here again!

Just wonderful. Unforgettable
I have to say the apartment is wonderful. I have to say I don’t think the pictures do it justice. It’s given us many great memories that we will cherish for years to come. I don’t really want to say a bad word as it really is fantastic. If I had to nitpick I would encourage people to bring their own portable speakers as the stereo is very dated. We did so we were lucky but that literally the only thing. I want to say thank you to Joana and Luisa for being very helpful.

Light, spacious and in a great position
The villa is in an amazing position, overlooking the sea. It’s an easy ten minute stroll in to town where there are several good restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked with various gadgets but beware if you are tall as the extractor hood hit a few heads!! There are plenty of pool toys - the gin chair became a firm favourite.....!

Wir, eine Reisegruppe von 13 Erwachsenen, haben unsere Zeit in diesem schönen Haus sehr genossen. Die Lage, der Blick und der Pool sind unglaublich. Die Zimmer sind groß und die Badezimmer komplett ausgestattet. Kleines Negativmerkmal, der Billard Tisch hat die besten Tage hinter sich, ebenso das Tischtennis Equipment und die Dartpfeile (alle kaputt) Trotzdem können wir das Haus wärmestens weiterempfehlen.
