Onlangs gerenoveerd prachtig huis gebouwd volgens hoge normen in het hart van Olhao.

Tijdens zijn smaakvolle renovatieproject werd Casa Da Esquina omgevormd tot een ultramodern 'ondersteboven huis'. De en-suite slaapkamer met airconditioning bevindt zich op de begane grond en houdt hem koel in de zomer en warm in de winter. De open woonkamer en keuken bevinden zich op de eerste verdieping met handige grote openslaande deuren naar het zonovergoten terras met barbecue en buiten dineren. Deze woning op het zuiden profiteert het hele jaar door van de overvloedige zon van de Algarve. Het bovenste dakterras is een toegevoegde bonus en een geweldige plek om een glas wijn of een biertje te drinken en bij te kleuren! Wi-Fi wordt zonder extra kosten aangeboden! Ik raad aan om een tablet of grote telefoon mee te nemen zodat je al je favoriete kanalen kunt bekijken. Alle attracties die vakantiegangers naar Olhao lokken, staan voor de deur. De zee ligt op ongeveer 100 meter afstand, evenals de beroemde markten. De restaurants, coffeeshops en bars liggen letterlijk om de hoek, omdat alles zo handig is dat u misschien besluit dat u geen auto nodig heeft. Let op, net als de overgrote meerderheid van de huizen in Olhao, zijn de trappen smal en steil, hoewel niet overvloedig. Hoewel dit voor de meeste mensen acceptabel is, moet u hiermee rekening houden als u zich zorgen maakt over uw conditie of letsel.

Dachterrasse & Co.

Das Haus ist alt, aber herzlich. Die enge Treppe zum Küchen-und Wohnbereich muss man mögen, aber dafür gibt es dann einen tollen Balkon und eine Dachterrasse. Die Einrichtung ist zweckmäßig, es wurde an alles gedacht. Allerdings empfehlen wir, das Haus nur zu zweit zu nutzen, da es nur ein Badezimmer abgehend vom Schlafzimmer gibt. Ansonsten ist man Mitte drin im Ortsgeschehen in hat absolut kurze Wege, zur Markthalle, zum Flanieren und zum Hafen. Man kann überall gut es, allerdings hat es uns am besten im Hafengebiet bei Paixe&Pao gefallen. Ursprünglich, freundlich und nicht so hektisch und laut, wie bei vielen Restaurants an der Promenade. Parken ist entgeltlich möglich (Hochsaison), in der Nebensaison gibt es auch noch kostenlose Parkplätze im Hafengebiet. Leider gibt es dort auch immer wieder aufdringliche Parkplatzanweiser. Wir haben hier eine schöne Zeit verbracht und würden die Unterkunft aufgrund der Lage wieder buchen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieteter klappte einwandfrei. Neil hat uns eine sehr gute Einführung übermittelt.

An absolute jewel in the centre of Olhao.

This lovely renovated fisherman's house is absolutely perfect for a winter stay.With the balcony off the lounge and the rooftop terrace you are guaranteed sun all day.We stayed for the winter so were very happy. The location is brilliant, everything is on your doorstep, including a 3 minute walk to Pingo Doce, the nearest supermarket. If you are any way infirm you need to speak with Neil before booking as the stairs are quite narrow and steep, my husband is 70 and had no problem. We had plenty of hot water when showering and the WiFi was excellent for streaming the tv. The equipment was great, but, if you intend cooking a lot, be aware there is no oven. We made do with the microwave and hob and obviously there are some fantastic restaurants to eat out at or for deliveries. We would definitely stay again.

Neil's place is is easy to find, centrally located, has all the facilities you would need. We particularly like Olhao, the terrace off the kitchen/lounge was particularly pleasant for an early morning coffee. The roof terrace ideal for relaxing. The only challenge is the stairs that could prove difficult for someone less able.

Cute home in historical center

I recently stayed in this lovely home in the historical center of Olhão, and it was a great experience. The apartment was nicely decorated, with traditional Portuguese style, making it feel very cozy. The location was perfect—just a short walk to the waterfront, local markets, and some amazing restaurants. I enjoyed wandering the narrow streets filled with colorful buildings and finding hidden gems. The host was very welcoming and They were easy to communicate with and always ready to help. Overall, this rental was comfortable, convenient, and charming. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to explore Olhão!

100m from municipal market (awesome place for fish, meat and vegetables), a beautiful building, and 300m from ferry to Armona, Culatra and Farol islands, great beaches. ONLY downside is the lack of AC on top floor.

a poor choice

There was no shade on a very small balcony, not even a sun brolly and the sun was on the balcony all day. The sun brolly on the roof terrace was not in a position that could offer any shade and was fixed to the wall and so could not be moved to a better position.There was no comfortable seating on the balcony.Shower did not drain. hanging space was only in the cleaning cupboard. Whole pace in need of serious refurbishment. We know Olhao really well and this house was a huge disappointment.

Lovely stay

We had a lovely stay in this quaint townhouse last week. It has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. Perfect traditional house in excellent location

This was our second time staying at this lovely little house. It is right in the centre of everything, 2 min walk to all the bars, market and waterfront. Yes, its small but perfect for our needs. Some reviews have mentioned the steep, narrow stairs. Yes, they are that but as long as you have 2 working legs you're fine. We loved sitting on the balcony in the mornings listening to birdsong and drinking coffee. We have arrived home completely relaxed and if we decide to have another relaxing week in Olhaò, we won't be looking for anywhere else to stay, this home is just perfect XXX

The house is not for everyone.

Good location.good kitchen/livingroom. Bedroom damp on arrival,still.damp on departure.stair cases were mentioned as being steep and narrow.until you have to use them you realise that they are very difficult to climb on all 3 levels.all outside balconies had flakey paintwork which could have been easily and cheaply done before our arrival.no handrail on the top staircase to the roof terrace a small folding table and chairs on the roof terracewould improve the area,you have nowhere to sit on the roof terrace only sunbeds.if you have any mobility problems i would not recomend this house.

Perfect house, great location

This upside down house is full of charm tucked right in the centre of Olhao with a 2 min walk to the waterfront, cafés, 2 markets and bars. 5 min walk to the ferry to go to the lovely Armona for a few euros. The house was spotlessly clean, lovely balcony and the kitchen was perfectly adequate to cook our fresh produce from the market. The owner of the property was great at keeping in touch, gave easy directions and how to use the key safe. We loved our stay here and would love to come here again.

Perfect location in the heart of restaurants, cafes and shops, just a few steps from the sea front. Excellent and thorough communication with vendor, supported by a manager. A few tips for cleaning: floor needs a good mop and once in a while a deep clean ie shower, all surfaces. Very dusty and sandy floor but very nice historic building.

Another great stay

This is our 4th time staying in this property. Very clean and suitable for 2 people to have a comfortable stay. Small patio on 2nd floor and a wondeful roof top terrace that gets the sun all day. Situated in a quite cobbled street only minutes away from the sea front and amazing restaurants. Less than 10 min stroll gets you to the train/bus station should you want to visit other towns and to the boat that can take you to a few islands. We will be back .

Convenient situation in Olhao

The house is easy to locate and access is straightforward although in a pedestrian only street. It is near lots of restaurants and the market, a supermarket is 5 min walk away, yet it is also quiet at night. Also near the ferries for visiting the islands. The property is old and charming though that brings its challenges (stairs and light)/airflow, fixtures and fittings could benefit from upgrading.

Schöne Wohnung

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der Ferienwohnung sehr genossen. Wir waren erfreut über die vorhandene Waschmaschine. Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral und ließ uns am portugiesischen Leben teilhaben. An manchen Tagen und in manchen Nächten war es uns zu laut. Es war sehr schön einen Balkon zu haben für die Mahlzeiten und Sonne bis in die Abendstunden.

Le prix payé n’est absolument pas justifié
