Enjoyed our stay
We had our vacation here for the second time. The house is in a beautiful location near Lagos and offers enough space for eight people. During our stay there was an issue with the pool heater. Reported this to the owner, who responded quickly to my message and immediately sent a technician. The same day the problem was solved. We had a nice stay.

We had a great stay here. The house is very clean and the beds are comfy. All the appliances you need are there. The pool is really nice and the owner has a ton of great tips to visit in the area. I would definitely recommend this house, especially to larger families.

The house is great. The pool is perfect. Everything is available. Perfect for a holiday in the Algarve. The owner is very nice and helpful. We would go back there anytime. We were 4 adults and 5 children in the house. Space and furnishings were excellent.

Nice garden with a lot of space, heated pool (on extra charge). A lot of place inside. Weather was rather poor, so we spent quite a bit of time inside, used the chimney every day. What a luxury to have Paola pass almost every day to clean the house. Great communication with pierre, the owner, when a window was broken from the storm, it was replaced the same day

Sehr schön gelegen
Tolle Villa in schöner, ruhiger Lage. Sehr gute Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer. Die Putzfrau kam statt Mo-Fr nur an 3 Tagen, was aber angenehm war. 2 Tage würden auch reichen. Einige kleine Mängel gibt es (nicht alle Türen schließen richtig, 1 Bad mit Abflussgeruch je nach Windrichtung und bei geschlossenem Fenster, Mülltüten gibt es keine-1 war im Mülleimer), Müll nimmt die Putzfrau auch nicht mit). Pool schön groß und beheizt, allerdings hört man häufig z.T. die ganze Nacht eine Umwälzpumpe und/oder Wärmepumpe laufen. Keine Fliegengitter, zum Glück im Oktober aber auch wenig Stechmücken. Auch mit den kleinen Einschränkungen tolle Unterkunft.

Bensafrim magnifique villa
Belle villa, proche des commodités et plusieurs plages turquoise a 10mn en voiture, l’autoroute A22 a 5 mn en voiture pour aller sur albufeira et les autres villes de la cote de l'Algarve le marché municipal de Lagos a 10 mn de la villa, je le conseil vraiment nous avons mangés des poissons extraordinaire et il y a aussi les restaurants ils sont top !!! Pour la villa Paula, la personne en charge du ménage est très ponctuelle et très professionnelle. Sur l’ensemble, la villa est très fonctionnelle et très propre. Le propriétaire est très disponible et très réactif. Nous et les ados, nous étions ravis de la villa et de la grande piscine et des endroits autour de la villa et pour les promenades. Nous avons été à l'autodrome a 10 mn pour faire du karting et pas très loin le buggy dans les campagne. Les soirées organisés dans les villages autour de la villa. Nous avons été à Loulé pour la grande féte de la nuit blanche organisé tout les 2 ans Je recommande vraiment. Nous avons 2 chiens, l'endroit est vraiment bien adapté la grande terrasse et le très grand jardin très bien entretenu avec son terrain de pétanque superbe vacances dans la villa. Notre seul regret, c'est que nous sommes rentrés sur Paris :) Lionel Août 2023

Great place to stay
The property is well maintained, a little old fashioned but in keeping with a rural position. The kitchen had everything we needed and the barbeque worked a treat with a proper chimney, no extra charge for A/C and pool heating which is unusual but the house was fitted with solar panels and had battery storage which provided most of the electricity required to run everything. All in all a great place to stay as long as you have a car as the town is a ten minute drive away, but that is exactly what we liked most was the quiet location and the vast amount of land the house is located in, Would highly recommend.

Great villa for families
At this price point the villa delivers more than you would expect. It would be perfect for 2 families. We found Lagos nearby to be a great place, much nicer than many other popular areas, which was a pleasant surprise. A car is a must at this villa.

Magnificent
Absolutely perfect, everything about the villa was excellent . As soon as we opened the door we knew we would have the best time ever. Well equipped, comfortable and so spacious for an all adult get together. The swimming pool was warm, clean and inviting. Plenty room for us all to swim. The views and the lemon orchard were superb. As a bonus we had glorious weather for the time of year. I will definitely recommend this villa to everyone I know. If you want a quiet, peaceful break away from everything like we did, you will love it. Thank you Pierre, you know exactly what guests want for a holiday at you villa retreat.

Beautiful location
The villa is large traditional villa. Very spacious, well equipped kitchen and cosy lounge. The outside kitchen is also great for bbq’s. The pool is huge, there was a problem with the heating while we were there but the owner was made aware and rectifying that. We loved our time in the villa, and are looking to book again for next year. Thank you for a fabulous holiday.

Very spacious, very good location, easy to get to and from Lagos and main access routes. The property was very clean and tidy, it felt comfortable. As a family, we would definitely return. The pool was literally just outside the veranda as in the photos and was quite warm. Overall, our experience was well worth it and we look forward to going back...soon.

Tolle Villa mit ruhiger Umgebung
Wir haben die Villa mit dem Navi auf anhieb gefunden. Der warme Pool ( 27°c) war bei dem nassen Wetter das wir hatten sehr einladend. Paula,die Putzfrau, kam jeden Tag vorbei. Wäre bei uns nicht nötig gewesen. War aber in Ordnung. Die Villa hatte zum kochen alles was man brauchte. Mehr Frotiertücher wären wünschenswert gewesen. Wir hatten kurz einen Stromausfall, weil das Solarpanel zu wenig Strom produzierte. Grund war das schlechte Wetter. Nach ein paar Minuten wechselte es von Solar zum Stadtwerk und wir hatten wieder Strom. Pierre war bei Fragen sofort erreichbar und konnte uns schnell helfen. Wir fanden die Villa toll und können sie empfehlen.

A Great Place to stay
After a lot of problems with flights we finally got out to this wonderful villa. There was four adults and my grandchild of 3 years old, the pool area felt very safe I had no worries of my grandchild escaping from the pool area. Have seen in reviews that there was talk that the pool area was in complete sunshine all day, this is correct but not an issue the whole of the veranda is undercover and we sat under this area to get out of the sun every now and then so not an issue for us. Also, I have read pool temperature was low, my understanding is that the owner had a new heater installed, whilst we were there the pool temperature fluctuated between 28 & 30 degrees really great for infants. My grandchild did not get cold and spent every hour in the pool, if my grandchild was happy then I am happy in fact as Portugal weather got hotter the pool was being cooled to maintain 28/30 degrees. Saw the pool cleaner twice during our 11 days stay checked water quality and cleaned the pool. We had a cleaner Monday to Friday, to be honest my wife had reservations about this however the cleaner was very thorough and very discrete not a problem at all. I know the area very well however a little concerned that we might be a little far out of Lagos than we wanted, I was wrong I could get to the marina in around 15-20 mins and the lakes and Dam “Barragem da Bruvura in 7 mins. Are car being really a certainty in this area area. The villa is perfect and very spacious, well equipped, outside BBQ. The owner phoned me on our first day to ensure everything was ok and also I made contact with Pierre a couple of times not for any problems but to re-book for 2023, Pierre was available to answer any questions as well. If I could offer any advice, as a Brit we love a cup of tea an electric kettle would be great, I may have missed it though Pierre 😊 All in all a little gem, loved our holiday especially the pool, I have been to many villas the pool has been cold children don’t want to play in the pool when it’s cold which then put’s pressure on the adults, well done to the owner on this one. Will be back, and wish it was tomorrow. Jon

We enjoyed a lot the stay in the house, the house is very well equipped and it was perfect to do holidays with our baby, dog and friends. Wir hatten eine schöne Ferienwoche in der Villa Cathepi! Das Haus ist sehr gut eingerichtet und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Zwei Kleinigkeiten sind uns aufgefallen: Das WLAN funktionierte in unserer Woche aus technischen Gründen nicht, sollte jedoch eine Ausnahme sein. Und in einem Klo riecht es nach Kloake, weshalb man dieses Bad gut lüften muss. Wir haben unseren Urlaub genossen und wir würden die Unterkunft weiter empfehlen!

Perfekter Ort für einen entspannten Gruppenurlaub
Wir hatten den perfekten Urlaub in diesem großen, charmanten und gut ausgestatteten Haus. Die Größe der Zimmer und des Hauses ist perfekt, um eine längere Zeit mit mehreren Personen zu verbringen. Die Küche und der Außenbereich sind super ausgestattet und bieten ebenfalls genügend Platz. Zusätzlich wurde das Haus täglich gereinigt und die Betten frisch bezogen. Das hat den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht. Die Lage ist ländlich, aber alles ist sehr schnell mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Wenn es uns wieder an die Algarve zieht, werden wir das Haus wieder buchen. Die Kommunikation mit Pierre war sehr einfach und freundlich! Vielen Dank :)

Großzügig angelegtes Haus in ruhiger Lage
Sehr großzügig angelegtes Haus mit großem Grundstück, sehr ruhig gelegen. Pool und Boule-Platz sind super, die Haushaltshilfe kommt fast jeden Tag und säubert. Wir haben uns wunderbar erholt. Manches ist leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen und sollte erneuert werden (Sitzkissen, Ofen, etc.), daher nur 4 Sterne. Wir würden das Haus dennoch wieder buchen.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au sein de la villa de Pierre. Elle est très agréable à vivre, le jardin est magnifique et la piscine est divine. Pierre est communicant et affable mais fut un peu infantilisant, pour notre groupe d’amis bientôt trentenaires, adultes et responsables. Je mets ça sur le compte de la distance. - Nas regras da casa informa Check-in depois das: 12:00, só conseguimos ter a casa minimamente disponível por volta das 15h30 , e check out as seria as 10h quando as 9h45 já tínhamos a senhora da limpeza dentro de casa - pagamos a taxa de aquecimento da água da piscina que não existiu (os supostos 27 graus que estaria indicado pelo proprietário nunca aconteceu) e a piscina sem limpeza - dois frigoríficos que não fazem frio, o que levou a estragar comida dos bebés entre outras coisas - Tratamento de limpeza da casa aquando da chegada sem o "cheiro" a lavado e desinfetado

Hello Rui, Sorry, I am not in line with your feed-back. Arrival was supposed to be as from 2 PM enabling Paola to clean and ventilate all the house between departure of previous renters and your family, especially in the current covid period. Paola effectively arrived 15 min earlier (9.45 instead of 10 am) on your last day to start cleaning but she is quite discrete and worked in part of the house where you were not anymore, as she is used to do... Rem: If it was such a big problem for you, you could have asked to wait 15 min till your departure.... Pool is cleaned every week by Jose on Saturday and Wednesday and heating was fixed at 27°c as agreed. Temperature is warm in August and fridge is taking time to reduce temperature of what you put in it, especially if you put lots of botlles, etc General comment: Why complaining after your departure instead of calling me during your stay enabling me to contact Paola/José if there was an issue.... ? In all case, a rate of 2 on 5 is quite severe, especially compared to all the evalution made by all previous renters...

Cozy house, great outdoor space
Great location, less than 10 min from Lagos. Nice and cozy house, perfect for families. The owner (Mr. Pierre) was very quick on replying any questions and Dona Paula was friendly and maintained the house very clean during our stay.

Comfy and spacious place. We were two families with kids below 7. Great pool, space for kids and adults, with all appliances and amenities needed. Pool lacks spaces with shade but it didn’t affect our great holidays! Pierre was always available for us and helped us with everything we needed. Very nice and welcoming. I would definitely go back! This is a great place, managed by a very nice owner with wonderful communication. You can really feel this is a property very dear to the owners, not just a place that was an investment to put ou on short rental. This means you feel the care in the small details, it is not a recent house, but you can feel it has been cherished and cared and his an important place in the life of the owners. Un petit coin de paradis
Sur la route qui mène à la villa, nous sommes d'abord séduits par le paysage verdoyant et fleuri. Puis nous arrivons et là c'est un enchantement ! Le jardin est en fleur, et les fleurs d'oranger parfument l'atmosphère. La maison est grande, spacieuse et très bien équipée. L'idéal lorsqu'on a des enfants ! Bien aménagee, on dispose de tout pour cuisiner. La cuisine ouverte sur la grande terrasse, le barbecue, la grande piscine , le boulodrome... : tout est réuni pour passer d'excellentes vacances. Paula la femme de ménage est gentille et discrète. Les propriétaires toujours disponibles pour répondre aux questions! Nous avons passés deux semaines merveilleuses. Vivement d'y retourner!
