Great stay very relaxed holiday home
We spent a week in this lovely home. Heated pool and tennis court are great assets to this house. Very nice garden and private atmosphere. Outdoor kitchen with barbecue are great.

Really nice villa
Large villa and garden, very will kept. Stayed here for a week to celebrate with extended family, 8 adults & 4 kids - fitted perfectly in house. The combined kids/adult pool was great to allow kids to venture into deeper water. Tennis court úsed frequently. Ate outside ever day by the barbeque - very nice. Quiet location, fairly near (a few km) to shops, restaurants and beaches but a car is strongly recommended. Daily cleaning by maid included, plan for some tip when you leave

Dear Margaret, I find your comment unfair knowing the number of butts and beer that we found in the garden since you've been. This is not true, you had washing and drying machines at your disposal, outside of hours where the housekeeper washed the pool towels that you wanted to change every day you got them dirty. Apart from you who rented the house the rest were only teenagers so that's why the housekeeper preferred not to entrust you with the laundry room. We have done everything to ensure that you have a good holiday, we have opened the gate many times at late hours because your friends forgot the code or the gate command. We even found friends of yours climbing the gate…. Your comment is not very nice knowing the work we had after your departure. Regards Erwan

Wonderful stay in a really nice accommodation
We had a wonderful stay in the house near Carvoeiro. The place is amazing with a very nice swimming pool, tennis court and BBQ area. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable with a bathroom en suite. We had a wonderful time with the whole family and would really recommend this accommodation.

Excellent in all respects
We were a family group of 7 people and we absolutely loved our stay. We could not believe our luck to find this wonderful house and it more than exceeded our expectations. We spent most of the time outside at the pool and barbeque area. It was nice that this area was so close to the house. Also the tennis court was a huge bonus and we played many hours - great with the spots in the evening. Telma came everyday to tidy up and clean - what a luxury. I give my best recommendations to this beautiful house.

Fantastic Villa with attentive owner
We stayed here as two families with 5 children in total. It was a fantastic holiday. Have stayed in Algarve villas a few times and would say the location here is hard to beat - close to the caves/coastline, beaches and waterparks/Zoomarine. The pool was lovely and warm, a great size for kids too with the added baby pool. Plus the tennis court was a bonus. Erwan, the owner, bent over backwards to ensure everything went smoothly and no issues during pre or during stay. Will be back.

Quinta da Rosa review
Booked the villa for a family and friends holiday, 9 of us in total. Communication with Erwan was great before the holiday on check in, villa details etc and during the stay on anything we needed. The villa is one of the best we’ve stayed at (we’ve stayed a quite a few!) very clean (we even told the maid not to come some days!) fantastic layout and really well equipt for a big party. We hired a car which was very handy, mainly for the ‘big shops’ for 9 people!! and days out but you could actually stay without one as there is a small supermarket about 10 mins walk (bigger supermarket about a 10 min drive) and there are a few restaurants/small bars also within 10 min walk. We stayed in late October so the heated pool option was well worth it! There are some beaches close by but the best one in walking distance is Benagil beach (about 20 min walk)

Fantastic villa
Wonderful stay in an idyllic villa. The images don’t do it justice. Beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms and a great tennis court. Lots of areas to relax outside, eat and barbecue. The pool is a perfect size also. You won’t be disappointed.

Propriété superbe, vacances de rêve
Maison très agréable et extérieur très spacieux. Nous avons bien profité de la piscine et du tennis même en soirée grâce à l'éclairage. L'intérieur de la maison est très bien décorée . Bravo à la personne qui a peint tous ces tableaux, ils sont superbes. Nous étions une famille de 10 et tout le monde a été ravi.

Lovely Garden, Disappointing Villa
This villa is set in beautiful gardens and well maintained by Telma, who was very pleasant and helpful. However, we found the villa itself to be disappointing. We were there during a hot August week. The villa soaked up the heat like a sponge during the day so was very hot in the evenings. There is no air conditioning, so it was very uncomfortable. Each room had an old plug-in fan. Two fans were defective and the owner only replaced one of them. We were so uncomfortable that we tried to buy a portable air conditioning unit from Wortens for €500, but there was a 4 day wait for delivery. We closed all the shutters on the villa and opened the windows at the coolest times, but this failed to improve temperatures inside. We actually looked to move to other accommodation but could not find availability. Normally you would expect a "traditional villa" to stay cooler in the heat. We also found the furnishings to be uncomfortable and dated. The beds had poor quality mattresses. The villa has a capacity of 10 adults, but there is only seating for 4 in the lounge area! This seating is not as pictured on the listing. Most of the showers are over baths which drain poorly and feel dangerous to climb out of over marble steps. The toilets are in small, dark, windowless rooms that feel more like cupboards. The villa is accessed via two dirt tracks. This means a car is essential, as the listing says. However, my teenage kids would normally take themselves in to town when we stay this close to a centre, but the roads made that impossible for them to do from here unfortunately. We felt the check-out process was very rushed. It is listed at 11am, but cleaning of the property actually started at 9am meaning you don't have a half day on your final day. I ended up leaving some clothes in the wardrobe in the rush to leave. The owner has kindly said he would post these back to me, but has said this will only be done in two weeks time, after my deadline date set by VRBO to review the property! We have been holidaying in Algarve villas for the last 15 years so have a lot to compare to. The gardens really are fantastic and if you spend all your time outside I'm sure you will love this place. However, the listing describes the villa itself as a "luxury condominium". This is simply not the case and at this price bracket you should expect to be comfortable.

Family holiday
Absolutely wonderful villa for a family holiday and in our case perfect for celebrating special birthdays . Fantastic outside space and large grounds. Great pool for all ages as there is a child’s shallow pool. The weather was exceptionally hot when we were there so the fans were much appreciated as the villa doesn’t have air conditioning. ( we were aware of this before). Telma the housekeeper was cheerful and friendly and a problem we experienced with hot water supply was dealt with very quickly and successfully. The host was responsive and helpful answering questions and emails very promptly.

Fantastic villa for a family holiday
We were a family of 9 and have just returned from a lovely holiday at Lagoa Azul. The villa has a lot of character and is extremely spacious with an amazing garden an pool area. You will probably need a car as the beach is about 15 minute walk. However, it is only 10 minute walk to the local shop and some really good restaurants. None of us the play tennis back home but we ended up having tennis tournaments almost every evening of the holiday. So that was a great bonus! There is plenty of stuff in the local area to explore but you could happily spend the majority of your time just lounging around at the villa. We would definitely consider returning next time we visit Portugal.

AMAZING!
Our group of adults and young children had an AMAZING stay, and we highly recommend. The location of the home is perfect, and the grounds are incredibly beautiful. Wunderbarer Familienurlaub
Wir waren 2 Wochen mit der Großfamilie in Villa Lagoa Azul und haben den Aufenthalt alle sehr genossen. Haus und Anwesen sind sehr gepflegt, der Pool mit Kindern wunderbar. Der eigene Tennisplatz war für uns wunderbar. Das Haus bot alles was man für einen erholsamen Familienurlaub braucht. Sehr nette Kommunikation mit der Agentur und eine wunderbare Hausangestellte die täglich kam. Tolle Lage, sehr ruhig aber in der Nähe der Strände und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.

Highly recommended
Our 2 families (4 adults, 6 kids) spent two wonderfull weeks in the Lagoa Azul property. The pool, the tennis court and the spacious garden are inviting for activities and also to relax. The beach is in walking distance, aprox. 10 minutes. We enjoyed the barbecue place in the evening. The rooms are nice and we haven´t missed anything. Telma, the maid, was aranging the rooms, bathrooms etc. every day which was excellent. We had a wonderful time and we really can highly recommend this property!

Fantastic Home
The house was brilliant for out week in Portugal. The garden, pool, tennis court and BBQ area were a particular highlight; there was so much space to enjoy the weather. The house itself was a lovely, traditional home with ample space for guests; very well equipped and the house was regularly cleaned to a high standard. The location was quite rural and a car is required but very private. Shops / supermarket are close by and are well stocked for a self catering holiday. Benagil has some nice restaurants and Carvoeiro has loads of places to eat and drink. We would thoroughly recommend staying here for a week.

Beautiful villa in a lovely area
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Lagoa Azul. The property has a great layout and everyone was comfortable in their rooms. It was great to have a housekeeper come everyday to tidy up after us. Kitchen was well equipped and the outdoor seating was great for alfresco dining. Location was great with easy access to restaurants, shops, beaches, and an incredible cliff trail for hiking. Would definitely recommend this place.

What a brilliant place!
We loved it. The villa has a great layout and is really well equipped. The pool was perfect, with two depths that both children and adults could enjoy. (I could not get my daughter out of the pool......). The tennis court held daily tournaments and the large grounds were perfect for an Easter egg hunt. Erwan was really helpful and made the booking very easy. Perfect place to relax and enjoy with family & friends.

Dear All, we are Germans but going to make an English review for all interested people. Many thanks for this outstanding and nice stay which we will not forget. We had amazing vacations with a friendship family of total 7 people. 2 more beds non used. A beautiful object like described combined with a heated pool of 29°, tennis court (rackets partly defect), outdoor BBQ place, big terrace for breakfast in the sun, many garden furnitures to relax. Telma came each day (except weekend) for room service. Thank you as well. Inside not the newest interior but all fine in Portuguese Finca style. We would come back for sure. Lovely spacious villa, beautiful pool and just perfect for family holiday
Just returned from our stay here and our family sad to leave. Very well equipped and beautifully decorated- though furnishings a little tired. We were 3 generations including a 3year and 9 month and all had plenty of space to enjoy. Outside space is exceptional- large pool and lots of seating and dining areas. A car is essential here as literally villa is on a dusty track off main road- we found pushing a buggy difficult. Thelma cleans 5 days per week and was wonderful help. Some beautiful beaches within short drive and Carvoeiro less than 10 minutes drive with great variety of restaurants. We drove in at night and got taxi back- very reasonable and no shortage. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Villa Lagoa AZulu.

A very enjoyable family holiday
Our family of seven adults ,three children and a baby found the villa , gardens and the pool to be ideal for a most enjoyable stay. The location was good and only a short drive to the beach, golf courses, shops and restaurants. The tennis court was an added bonus and provided some competitive fun. The villa provided good bedroom space although the kitchen was a little dated but functional. Out door eating facilities were very good with some shaded areas to keep out of the midday sun. It was particularly hot this year and air conditioning would be a benefit in the bedrooms. The maid and ground services were efficient but we felt a little pressurised on the day of our departure as preparations for the changeover commenced early on the morning we were leaving. Overall a very enjoyable stay at an impressive villa.

For the check-in (3pm) and check-out (11am) we are obliged to anticipate the preparation (gardening, washing pool ...) of the house otherwise people who arrive sometimes in advance on their arrival is left with the house not ready. Fabulous villa
We had a fantastic week in this beautiful villa. The rooms are all comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Telma was great at keeping it tidy .The garden is very pretty with a large pool and we used the tennis court most evenings. You can walk to supermarkets and restaurants in 20 minutes . I would recommend a car but taxis are inexpensive . There isn't any local nightlife but our teenagers spent a couple of evenings enjoying the bars in Carvoeira. This is a really exceptional villa for a large group . Can't recommend it enough. We loved it .

Fantastic property for 2-3 families!
The house lay-out is perfect for several families staying together, with plenty of bedrooms and baths. We were two families with 5 kids age 0-6 and had several roms available. The house and the interior is aging, but it is nice and clean and charming! Thelma cleans everyday:-) The outdoor facilities are amazing; the poolhouse with a kitchen and restroom is perfect, the tiles/stones surrounding the pools are not slippery for eager kids, the garden is perfect for fotball, and the tennis court in perfect condition is the icing on the cake. Also fully lighted for late night matches when the kids are put to sleep:-) The location is good, but you need a car! Highly recommended - we hope to come back!

Wir verreisen alle 2 Jahre mit 10 Erwachsenen in unterschiedliche Gegenden und haben dieses Haus für unsere Belange (Sport, WM schauen, gemeinsam chillen) als eines der Besten eingestuft, auch wenn das Interieur und die Bäder nicht luxuriös sondern eher komfortabel und bereits ein bisschen abgenutzt waren. Der Tennisplatz ist super und wurde täglich genutzt. Der große Pool war auch ein Anziehungspunkt und in der Aussenküche mit Grill und Kühlschrank haben wir die Abende entspannt ausklingen lassen. Die Aufteilung des Grundstücks war großartig, so dass man im großen Garten zwar abseits Zeit und Ruhe für sich haben konnte aber ansonsten trotzdem immer in Reichweite und Kontakt zu den anderen stand. Weniger gut fanden wir die zu kleinen Fernseher um darauf mit 10 Personen die WM Spiele zu schauen aber das wird für den normalen Urlaub außerhalb der WM weniger von Belange sein. Außerdem wundern wir uns jedes Mal über die mittelmäßige Ausstattung der Häuser, so auch hier. Je ein neues Besteck für den Innen- und vor allem Aussenbereich, ein/zwei große Töpfe wären sinnvoll... einige große Gläser haben wir bereits besorgt. Die Anfahrt über die „selbstgemalte Schatzkarte“ :-) hat uns leider auch etwas Zeit gekostet. Aber das ist eher klagen auf hohem Niveau. Der tägliche Besuch der sehr freundlichen und unauffälligen Haushälterin hat ebenfalls zum Wohlfühlen beigetragen. Ein super Preis/Leistungsverhältnis und eine absolute Empfehlung.

Fabulous house!!
Wonderful holiday in a well equipped and maintained house. Great pools and tennis court, BBQ/bar area was enjoyed most evenings. Maid (Telma) worked hard to clean and tidy after us!! We look forward to returning in the near future!!

Very nice house with lovely garden, pool area and private tennis court.
We really enjoyed our stay! Perfect villa for 10 adults. Nice quiet area was what we were looking for. We used the private tennis court a lot! I would highly recomend this villa. Just remember that you need a car and no nightlife nearby but beautiful beach and joggin routes just behind the corner. We would love to come back again!

Beautiful property and good location
We stayed at villa Lagoa Azul for the second time last month. It was just as beautiful, quiet and clean as our visit last year. The villa is of a high standard and is very well equipped. The gardens, tennis courts and heated pool are very well maintained and the villa is serviced by Telma who visits six times a week. We were a family of nine and there was plenty of room for us all to either join in the games or have a quiet moment away from others. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms are comfortable. There are mini markets, restaurants and beaches within easy walking distance and buses run to Carvoeira close by. Taxis are not expensive into town. There are several large supermarkets just 10 mins drive from the villa. This property ticks all the boxes for my family.
