The space
Welcome to Peterson Paradise—an updated, rustic winter retreat with breathtaking views of Placer Valley and space for up to six guests. Step onto the wraparound deck and take in the crisp mountain air, sip a warm drink by the outdoor firepit, or unwind in the private hot tub beneath the stars. Inside, the open-concept living room features a cozy fireplace and a game loft with a vintage arcade system for nights of nostalgic fun.

The chef-inspired kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, a Traeger smoker grill, and everything needed to prepare hearty winter meals with ease. Dine indoors or outside on the deck while soaking in peaceful, snow-covered forest views. A dedicated workspace with monitor and high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi makes it easy to balance work and relaxation—perfect for remote workers or extended stays. Set the mood with the cabin’s classic record player and Smart TV setup for cozy nights in.

The main-level primary suite offers a king bed and spa-style bathroom with a jet tub for ultimate relaxation after a day on the slopes. Upstairs, you’ll find two additional bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen), a loft with a twin trundle bed, and a second full bath. Plush linens, soft towels, and extra blankets are provided for a restful, cozy experience.

RV & Trailer Parking

Peterson Drive offers ample, convenient space to park your RV, fifth-wheel trailer, or recreational vehicle right on-site. Please note that while there’s plenty of room for RV parking, RV power hookups are not currently available.

Guest access
At Peterson Paradise, you'll have exclusive access to the entire cabin and its grounds. From the spacious living areas inside to the inviting outdoor spaces, every part of this retreat is yours to enjoy during your stay. Whether you're lounging by the deck, enjoying a meal prepared on the Traeger smoker grill, or simply taking in the panoramic views from the wrap-around deck, our cabin ensures a private and serene getaway in the heart of the Colorado mountains.

Other things to note
Prior to arrival, guests will be asked to complete a brief identity verification through our secure Guest Portal. Completion of the verification step is required to finalize check-in details.

Beyond verification, the Guest Portal serves as a convenient resource for your stay. Where applicable, access information, smart lock details, and device controls will be provided there. The portal also includes optional concierge requests such as early check-in, late checkout, and additional amenities, all subject to availability and approval.

Use of the portal beyond the required screening step is entirely optional. Guests are welcome to explore local restaurant guides, curated recommendations, and available services at their discretion.

At select residences, guests may have the option to purchase a non-refundable Damage Waiver providing limited accidental contents protection. Certain properties that issue physical access items such as keys, fobs, or parking passes may require a refundable $250 access credential deposit, similar to a hotel pre-authorization, which is released after checkout, provided all items are returned, and no replacement costs are incurred.

In some residences, check-in staff or front desk personnel may also confirm your ID upon arrival, similar to standard hotel procedures. We do not host guests under 25 at this location; the primary renter must be over 25. These measures ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Open fire pits and any outdoor open flames are strictly prohibited by Park County regulations due to wildfire risk. This includes campfires, wood-burning fire pits, and fireworks. Violations may result in fines, eviction, and loss of security deposit. Thank you for helping us keep the area safe!
