From the moment you arrive at High Shade, you'll know you've picked the perfect place.  This lovely home is the perfect spot for a large family getaway, group, or just a nice spot for a romantic trip to the mountains.  The large open floor plan on the main level gives perfect opportunity for everyone to enjoy one another's company.  If you're looking for a cabin with a fully stocked kitchen, this is certainly the one for you.  It has everything you could possibly think of to make a gourmet meal, right in the comfort of your home.  Complete that with a large dining table and eat in bar, and the back drop of the mountain views, you have plenty of space for all in your party to enjoy each other's company over a home cooked meal.  The living room area boasts a woodburning fireplace, comfortable leather seating, and flat screen television with internet streaming capabilities.  It's the perfect spot to curl up and relax after a day of exploring and adventures.  Also located on the main floor is the master suite, which features a comfortable king sized bed, flat screen television, large office/work space, and private master bath with tiled walk-in shower, large soaking tub, and double sink vanity.  One of the main drawing features of this home are the huge deck spaces on each level.  The upper level boasts breathtaking views of the Smokies and Fontana lake, outdoor dining table, comfortable conversation sets, porch rockers, and seating area with gas fire pit  - perfect for unwinding at the end of the day.  If you're needing a little extra relaxation, take a dip in the hot tub, which has lounger seating.

High Shade is located in the Almond community, just outside of Bryson City and Robbinsville.  This home is convenient to the Nantahala River Gorge, where you will find world class whitewater rafting, kayaking, and ziplining.  Tsali Biking Trails for the outdoor enthusiast, and Fontana Lake which is a great spot for lake kayaking and SUP boarding.  There are also plenty of areas around for hiking and fishing.  In about a 20 minute drive you can be in downtown Bryson City, home of the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, the Deep Creek Community entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and plenty of boutique shops, delicious restaurants, and local craft breweries.
