This place offered a lovely retreat from the crowds in town and after our excursions to different parts of coast. The views are incredible! The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures, clean, bright and well appointed. Giuseppe, Antonella and daughter Erica are welcoming and responsive hosts. There are lots of stairs from town to main road and then from the road to the apartment, but that's pretty typical for this area. We found it quite enjoyable to walk into town to catch our ferries in the morning or for dinner in the evening. Would highly recommend bus if arriving with luggage to the port area. The SITA bus ride is very quick and easy and we took it a couple of nights after dinner. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to recommend.

Sea views forever

We needed a cool place to kickback in Amalfi after a hectic tour and Giuseppe's wonderful rooftop apartment was the perfect antidote-provided you have the energy to tackle the 94 steps in sweltering heat every day. It certainly kept us fit.At least the air conditioning in every room cooled us off and we could enjoy that view with a cool drink. Giuseppe and family made us feel at home. Very responsive and nothing was too much bother. Great location for a break and far enough out of town to escape the madness of Amalfi centre.

Fantastico!

Giuseppe and his wonderful daughter Erica checked us into the unit and it could not have been more perfect for our stay in Amalfi. The stairs at first are a bit daunting but it is the Amalfi coast! We loved our walks back and forth to town it left you feeling guilt free about indulging in the food and drink. Giuseppe organized a wonderful trip to Capri on a private boat where we did the Blue Grotto ( that’s an experience!) our captain and guide Alfonso (I hope that’s right) was great! 5 star spot, 10 star host!

Exceptional host and property

The host, Gussippee, was very welcoming. He did so much to introduce us to the area and helped arrange both pick-up and drop-off in Amalfi. I really preferred being a bit out of the crowded downtown area. The property has great views, yet secluded. It is beautifully appointed, has all the modern amenities you could desire. It was fun to walk back and forth from the property to the town, ferry terminals, main bus, etc. The property is close to a very secluded beach club. The stairs, walking alongside the road, and long strolls might be a bit much for some people but you get used to it quickly. Besides, you can always use hired, motorized transport, if you want. It was a perfect way to enjoy the beauty of the area and walk off all the gelato and wonderful meals we had. I highly recommend this property and its marvelous host and would certainly stay again.

Belle vue, belle appartement mais...

L'appartement et la vue étaient super. C'est beaucoup de marches à monter mais c'est ça à Amalfi. Pippo et sa femme étaient très réactifs à nos interrogations (où se trouve la laveuse à linge par exemple) mais il manquait un peu de tout (verres de vin pour 4, ustensiles, scott towels ou napkins, tapis lorsqu'il pleut, papier de toilettes, la hotte ne fonctionnait pas donc nous n'avons pas utilisé le four au gaz, etc...). Nous avons pu goûter aux excellentes tomates qu'ils nous avaient laissées et les arbres fruitiers sur la propriété étaient accessibles à notre guise. On recommande l'emplacement, faudrait seulement réapprovisionner l'équipement.

Unbelievable Amalfi Experience!

Property was beautiful and the views were incredibly beautiful. Giuseppe was an incredible host. He helped us with beaches, reataurants, and probably the most amazing boat tour of the Amalfi coast that we could ever have imagined. We learned the history of many villages, buildings, stopped for a swim in the caves. The water was beautiful and our skipper was professional, informative, and very polite. That was an amzing day,! On our second to last day, Giuseppe's wife came to the door and gave us the most delicious figs they picked for us! You will not find a better host than Giuseppe!

Pleasant Stay

Beautiful place with lovely hosts. Stairs are part of the beauty of Amalfi! Walking into town is easy. Closest grocery store is a bit of a hike, can reach within 15min. Public transport at bottom and top of stairs.

Amalfi coast in May

Property as advertised, clean and nice. Beautiful lemongarden around the building. Contact with owner Pippo was easy and helpful🙂 Be prepared for the stairs, but that goes overall for the Amalfi coast. Kitchenware could use some updating. There’s a construction site below the property, but doesn’t affect the view from upper appartment and there was no activity during our stay.

Fabulous in Amalfi

One of our favorite VRBOs ever. Place is clean, nice and with a view to die for. Most of all what a great host! Pippo not only helped us bring our luggage up and down but he arranged pickup to Naples Airport when we couldn't due to some labor issues in town at the time. Steps were daunting at first but we quickly got used to them. Like living in a garden!

Beautiful unit on the hillside

Two couples rented this unit in September. Giuseppe is an attentive, personable host. The stairs from the main road are challenging, particularly with heavy bags. The view is amazing and it's only about a 15 minute downhill walk to central Amalfi, but part of that walk is along the busy, narrow, winding main road. Overall a comfortable, scenic base from which to explore this beautiful coastline.

Perfecto! Exactly as described and then some. Would definitely come back. Perfect location

It’s was our first time to Italy and we felt very welcome and comfortable talking with Giuseppe about anything in Amalfi! From meeting us off the ferry to having our bus tickets ready to the apartment, it was all very smooth. He and his wife carried our bags up the 93 steps to the apartment. We knew about the steps ahead of time, and all over the Amalfi Coast as well. We were prepared! The apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated. Fresh fruit, milk, water and other snacks were waiting for us. The lemon trees and other plants/flowers all around took my breath away! The last day we saw his dad working in the yard....it truly felt like home! Washing and then drying the clothes upstairs on the roof brought back memories when I was young!! Get to know the Italian door locks, all of our doors where we traveled were tricky at first but we caught on. There is a bus pickup right on the street outside the apartment wall. I recommend buying multiple €1,30 bus tickets (one way) either from or to the apartment. We enjoyed the walk even with the Vespas and buses wizzing by! What a thrill on the buses!! We took a bus to Pompei at 930 and got back by 4. So it’s doable. I wish we had more than three nights, Capri was an entire day and completely worth it!! Take the chair lift in Anacapri! Thank you Pippo for all your help and answers prior to our arrival. You’re the best and we hope to return. Ciao!!

Beautiful apartment with an incredible view.

We loved every minute of our trip to Amalfi. Giuseppe and his wife met us at the ferry and it was a short bus ride to the apartment. I was travelling with three teenagers and we enjoyed the beach and taking a charter boat to Capri that Giuseppe arranged for us. I highly recommend staying at Tenuta Cavaliere the view is spectacular and the apartment was newly renovated and very clean.

AMAZING!!!!

There are not enough words to express how amazing this property is! The location is breathtaking! Everything is new and the apartment is spotless!!!!! We felt very comfortable staying here! As a matter of fact, we cannot wait to go back! Giuseppe and his wife were extremely welcoming and even greeted us with a homemade baked lemon cake, which was not only delicious but very thoughtful. The only tip I would provide is to expect to walk up a lot of stairs to get to the apartment. Having said that, it was worth every step!!!!!!!!

Rested, relaxed and reluctant to return home!

We had the best of all possible times staying in this beautiful apartment. It looks just as it does in the photographs and is clean, well-equipped and well-maintained. Giuseppe and Antonella could not have been more welcoming and the welcome pack meant that we were able to spend the first night without the worry of having to finding a supermarket. Having them there at the end of a text to ask about things such as buses and boat trips (Guiseppe helped us organise this) really helped. In actual fact, although there are a lot of steps up to the apartment (130 from the road to the front door) and it is at least a twenty minute walk uphill coming back from Amalfi, we were very proud of the fact that we didn't get the bus back once. It is quite safe to walk, even at night, and there are usually lots of other people doing the same thing in one direction or the other. Given the amount of ice cream we ate, this was a good thing! Because the apartment is so well set up, we divided our time between eating in and eating out but there is a wide choice in Amalfi. We loved the pizza at Da Stella and the risotto at Da Gemma but our top marks go to the family run Ristorante L'Abside in Piazza dei Dogi. The food was super and the customer service second to none. We also enjoyed the lemon cake at Pasticceria Pansa Andrea in the main square. We have travelled together widely over the last twenty years and always try to get away at the start of the summer holidays to rest and relax and have a good catch up. Usually, we plan to go somewhere different each time but this will be a hard act to follow and we are already discussing a return visit. Emma (Bournemouth) & Kath (Southampton) UK. Fantastico

We recently vacationed in Italy for 2 weeks--Rome, Venice, Florence, Cinque Terre, and Amalfi. Our stay in Amalfi was our favorite. Not only the town itself, but the apartment was amazing. The view from the balcony was our favorite place to sit and relax. The apartment is decorated beautifully with local tile and artwork. We had everything we needed including a washer! Guiseppe and his wife greeted us and helped us carry our luggage up the stairs. He also followed me to park the car and brought me back on his cycle. They cut fresh lemons for us on our arrival and also when we departed. They were available the entire time if we needed anything. We highly recommend this apartment!

Beautiful, brand new modern apartment with great view of Amalfi !

Stayed 7 days from May 18 to 25, 2016. Apartment is exactly as portrayed in the pictures, nestled amongst lemon, fig, olive trees and garden....and a large terrace from which you can appreciate a 180 degree view of the sea ! Stunning ! Apartment is fully equipped with all commodities, including bus schedules, lists of restaurants, tours, guide books....At our arrival, had several staples waiting for us, milk, coffee, an assortment of fruit +++ including a delicious lemon cake that Antonella had prepared and several other surprises. Really thoughtful and very much appreciated. The owner, Giuseppe and his lovely wife, Antonella were the perfect hosts. Always available to answer our questions, always in a great mood, always smiling....and eager to make our stay a very pleasant and memorable one , which of course, they did ! The whole Amalfi coast is indeed stunning and staying just 1km from Amalfi town itself and its port was really handy. We walked there every morning and usually returned with a 5 minute bus ride late evenings. You're kinda in the middle thus easy access by boat to Positano, Capri, Sorrento.....or local buses to closer towns like beautiful Ravello !
