Quinault Cottage aan het meer

Of u nu wilt ontspannen in de sauna, wandelpaden, kajak of vissen wilt verkennen ... het is hier allemaal voor u. Geniet van een panoramisch uitzicht op het idyllische Quinault-meer terwijl je grilt op het dek en ontspan op het privéstrand aan het water tussen de bomen van Olympic National Forest.

De ruimte
Dit Lake Quinault huisje is een niveau met gewelfd ceder plafond, bakstenen accenten en vrijstaande houtkachel in de woonkamer. Grote muur tot muur ramen overal, met uitzicht op het meer vanuit elke kamer. Er zijn drie slaapkamers met elk een queensize bed. Keuken is volledig uitgerust met alle benodigdheden en een ruim terras met propaangrill. Had ik al gezegd de ceder sauna ------- Wi-Fi is beschikbaar, maar het is traag 1. 5 MB lager 0. 1 hoger. Het is de enige beschikbare service in het gebied. Het is niet betrouwbaar en er zijn geen terugbetalingen als er wifi-problemen zijn. Service is niet zo goed als stad vanwege het afgelegen karakter van het Quinault-regenwoud. Houd hier rekening mee, maar het mobiele en mobiele internet-signaal is zeer goed en snel voor de meeste bedrijven (50 MB omlaag Vrizon 20 MB omlaag T mobil 10 MB omlaag)

Location location location!!! This house has a spectacular view of Lake Quinault and easy access to some lovely walks in Olympic NP. We also could walk a short distance to the lake for water play. The house was quiet and secluded. Per the host’s suggestion we did our grocery shopping in Aberdeen as there are only small stores near the house. While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the house was comfortable for five adults and a toddler, the furnishings are old and sparse.

Beautiful, restful, quiet

Nice layout indoors, kitchen well-stocked with wares and even some seasonings etc. Excellent communication with gracious host. We stayed a week with some significant atmospheric river storms with much rain and wind, and the area lost power twice, but it was restored quite quickly (kudos to Grays Harbor utility) and the host kept us informed. The view of the ever-changing hills and lake is amazing, and the setting incredibly quiet. Because no one was booked for the day we were leaving, the host gifted us a free extra day, which my grad school daughter and partner much appreciated.

Great value for outstanding view

Grateful for this spacious and comfortable, lakeside accommodation with an outstanding view of Lake Quinault. We loved sitting on the deck watching waterfowl, especially loons at dawn. The main bedroom (double-size bed, but only 1 bedside table and lamp), bathroom, and washer/dryer combo unit were clean and well-maintained. Modern AC controls provided great relief from heat outside. The kitchen appeared clean at first, but needs deep cleaning and some repairs. Décor and furnishings are sturdy, but dated. The property has a modest grassy lawn edged with mature trees, overgrown bushes, many insects, and wild blackberries. I couldn’t find a path to the lake, but immediately west of the property is a boat ramp that provides excellent access. Bring swim shoes to protect your feet from the fist-sized, rough, slippery rocks. I didn’t see any water toys or rescue equipment for guests. So bring your own and assume your own risks. Limited accessibility: guests must use stairs to access the living areas. Not ideally furnished for children under 5. John David provided good communications, easy check-in, off-street parking, and speedy wi-fi. As long as the price for renting the house is comparable to the cost of staying at the Lake Quinault Lodge, we would recommend the property and would return if we are ever in the area again.

Rainforest relaxation

We loved our stay here. Beautiful home with all the amenities. When you walk in, the lake view is breathtaking. We enjoyed exploring the parks in the area as well. The beds were very comfortable and house was very clean. The owner was super kind and we had easy communication with him. Property is nice, great view and private grounds with fire pit. The Diana was nice, good hot water. Some of the windows are old and don’t open well, the kitchen is nice but some cookware was sad and dirty from sitting too long. I would stay here again. If you’re looking for a quiet place to base your adventure from this is it.

A peaceful retreat on the lake

Beautiful Lake and mountain views

Great house with wonderful views of the lake and mountains. Well set up house with all the amenities. The bald eagle that flew by from time to time made it even better. Moonlight reflections across the lake was also a plus. Near a couple of small grocery stores and several dining options from fancy to plain are another plus. We loved it and would rent again if in the area.

Perfect place to visit ONP

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house was clean and the view on the lake was amazing. The location is perfect to see some of the southern spots of ONP, which there are not a lot of great options for folks to stay close to this area. We are so thankful we could stay here and have a comfortable place to rest. We ate dinner at the lodge, and that was fun to have close by. The host was helpful and responsive. Thanks for a great stay.
