'The resort is beautiful and the casita was very well laid out. The only negative about the room was the couch and chairs were pretty uncomfortable. Also, be aware the casitas have several steps going between living room and kitchen; kitchen and bedroom, and then bedroom and bathroom, so be careful of tripping. Also, the web site does state it, but you have to look, during slow season the indoor restaurant is closed, so the only option is the pool bar or driving the golf cart to another...
'My best friend and I stayed at Ramon’s ilearly September and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, the location was great, and the staff was super helpful. The only downfall is that they lost power a few hours one night and the room got pretty hot. However, it was outside of their control. Other than that, restaurants are within walking distance and we ate at the hotels restaurant for dinner twice and really enjoyed it. Breakfast was also delicious!'
'Portofino is a beautiful, quaint little resort. We have stayed in their small cabanas a number of times. They are rustic and simple. The resort grounds include a lovely salt water pool, a dock, a small reception area, a small outdoor bar with a beautiful patio under large sea grape trees as well as a restaurant above the reception area that overlooks the gorgeous sea and barrier reef. Overall, it is simply beautiful and relaxing. The frontline staff are phenomenal, truly great and caring...

The bartenders were friendly as was the staff.
Prices are excellent for the quality of food and drinks.
We were just sad that the pool was under construction so that wasn't available for us, but we were compensated for that.

'Staff was amazing, the place was clean and had everything we needed. Location was a bit noisy at night and on a busy street so made backing out with the golf cart a little tricky. The locals are not very patient. The rooftop pool area was great!'
