'Belize has been on my bucket list of places to travel. The opportunity to visit was presented to celebrate my son’s 13th birthday and my partner’s birthday since they both enjoy snorkelling, diving and being in the sea. We booked our trip to stay at Alaia Autograph as it was listed as a 4.5-5 star hotel. 'The property itself was beautiful but unfortunately at this time of year (early May) there was a lot of sargassum so we did not enjoy the resort's beach. The pool was a nice sub. The food at the local restaurants in San Pedro were better than the resort's restaurant but it was convienent and decent. Important to note that at the resort bar and restaurant they do not sell any hard liquor, only beer and wine. In comparison to another 4 star Belizian resort we had just stayed at, we did feel it...
