'The hotel itself was clean and nice, so no issues with the room. The problem was the front desk experience. We had a night out in DC and chose not to drink and drive, so we booked and paid for a room ahead of time. When I (female) went to check in, I was told I couldn’t because of the time—even though the room was already paid for. Then my boyfriend went in right after me and had no issue getting the keys. The front desk worker, who appeared to be a gay male, was noticeably rude and dismissive...

As we arrived at night and were tired after a long flight, we didn't notice til it was too late. 'This is a gorgeous hotel converted from the famous Riggs National Bank of Washington DC. It is elegant, comfortable and accomodating. The food at Cafe Rigg (we had breakfast) was superb. The hotel is close to Metro (Gallery Place), museums and theatres as well aas several really nice restaurants. We will stay here whenever we come to downtown DC.'

'Nice located hotel, close to National Mall and all Smithsonian Museums. Room was clean and quiet, fully equipped with fridge, microwave and coffie machine. Indoor swimming pool is small, but very good for relaxing after sightseeing. Breakfasts were not impressive, mostly the same. Definitely not healthy. Service people very helpful. Daily cleaning very good. Good hotel for good price for short touristic stay. I really recommend it.'
