Great location
House was just right. Our family stayed for 5 days. Great location. Nice Neighborhood and area. The house was clean. Owners were easy to communicate with. Easy to gain access. We had a great stay. Got to see some moose in the neighborhood as well!

Great location; Dated Property; Nice Stay
Though the property was dated, some cabinet door hinges in the kitchen were broken, and the stove top was damaged but still working (host shared that new stove is on the way) the property was in a great location and suitable for a stay. It is an end-unit which is nice. The property is close to Campbell Creek Trail good for walks and fishing in the creek or pond. Also close to stores and downtown Anchorage.

the mattress was bought in April, you did not send any photos of stains or any evidence that the mattress is in poor condition! As far as possible, we always update furniture and household appliances!

Good value ... some updates needed
The location of the property was great for the things we wanted to do. It could use some cosmetic updates. We found it unusual that food, spices and condiments were left from previous guests. If was a good value compared to the cost of two motel rooms.

Good stay in Anchorage
The house was clean and spacious for four people. The host initially wasn't very responsive when asking about an early check-in but did respond and come to check when we found the microwave wasn't working. They were kind to offer a portable microwave for our stay as well. It's a good place to stay while being close to downtown Anchorage.

Rough but Ready
This older condo is in a quiet, safe feeling neighborhood, convenient to everything in South Anchorage. The condo is very clean, including the kitchen and bathrooms, however, the flooring and some of the fixtures are quite old and worn. The bedding was clean, but low quality polyester. If you are looking for a luxurious space this is not it. If you need a clean, functional place to sleep and eat, this is more then adequate. All the appliances are in working order and the kitchen is equipped with plenty of dishes and cooking implements to cook a meal for a family. The garage is available for guest use, so there is secure storage for bikes, boating equipment or even 1 vehicle. The back patio has lovely lawn all around and a beautiful flowering bush. There is a propane grill and patio furniture. Over all, we would stay here again.

Disappointing. Not "Elegant or Clean"
There were significant issues like a leaking sink that someone had but a bucket under that overflowed out the bathroom cabinet. The laundry area was filthy around the machines. There were cobwebs on the walls. Old appliances that didn't function well. Many burned out lightbulbs and missing batteries in remote control. Entranceway had not been cleaned and had tree debris built up in between door and screen door.

We’re sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, but almost all of your comments are not truthful. We’ve specifically closed a calendar day to check everything that you wrote. Our cleaning lady did not find a single web. You also failed to provide any photos to back up your words. My cleaning lady always cleans the house thoroughly and you are the first person to be dissatisfied with out place. Additionally, we’re not aware of “old devices” that you’re referring to. We’re constantly replacing the furniture and electronic equipment. In the future, you should consider staying at the hotel so you would not upset VRBO hosts with the negative reviews.

It’s the little things

Our stay
This was my first time ever going on vacation and not staying at a hotel. This location was near everything I was planning. The property was outdated and had some cosmetic repairs that I would of done along with putting a shade/curtain to cover the dinning room French door for privacy. Since I have never stayed at any other rental property, the cosmetic repairs and being outdated maybe a standard for rentals. The most important thing to me was that rental was clean. So 👍 for that.

Comfortable place to stay
There are 2 things I'd recommend from the owner. 1) more seating in the livingroom 2) curtains on the patio doors. With it being light so long, if you are sleeping on the futon there is nothing on the doors to block out the light. The livingroom is right next to the kitchen patio doors. Otherwise the beds were comfortable. The area very pleasant and not far from downtown or the airport.

this place was perfect for us for our trip. everything was clean when we came and we were very comfortable during our stay. the only downside was the futon and the dryer took a while for our clothes to dry. other than that everything was fine! definitely would stay here again!!

Great Stay
Upon arriving I met the owner finishing up cleaning the property. The unit was in a great neighborhood and located close to the Diamond Center Mall. It had all the amenities described. The only things I think could be better would be a more comfortable place to sit in the living room which had a futon. Then a better cable subscription would have been nice but not necessary since there was wifi. Overall I would definitely stay here again and recommend it.
