Comfortabele, moderne gezinswoning op 8 hectare met grote keuken, gezellige woonkamer met tv, piano en Klos-gitaar. Bubbelbad op het dek, schommels van allerlei soorten en 400 m aan waterkant om te verkennen. Er zijn 2 paddleplanken, 2 roeiboten, opblaasbare kajak en een kano om van de baai te genieten. Tijdens de zomer en herfst kunt u genieten van rijpende bramen, bosbessen en moerbeien. Er is een kruidentuin en munt voor verse muntthee, en met toestemming kunt u groenten uit de tuin gebruiken om te koken. Fall Hazelnuts zijn ook beschikbaar om te verzamelen. Het is een race met de eekhoorns.

Kom genieten van de ervaring van je leven in een warme, gezellige accommodatie aan het strand op het historische eiland Anderson. Deze unieke retraite belichaamt de geest van de Pacific Northwest, te beginnen met een prachtige tocht met een veerboot. Eenmaal op het eiland rijd je in 5 minuten door beboste landwegen naar een privéterrein van 8+ hectare met 400 m aan waterkant, weggestopt in de Amsterdamse baai. Het huis zelf is prachtig bijgewerkt en is ontworpen voor een gezellige bijeenkomst van familie of vrienden. Het grote dek en de hot tub bieden een ongeëvenaard uitzicht op de baai, terwijl de roeiboten en paddle-planken avontuurlijke en persoonlijke natuurbelevenissen bieden. Voor wie op zoek is naar gezelligheid met een goed boek of show, is er een mooie woonkamer met grote ramen en comfortabele leren banken. Voor de kok in je, geniet je binnen van de moderne apparatuur voor een hartig ontbijt, haal je de terrasgrill uit voor een stevige lunch of bouw je een vuur op het strand voor een echt authentieke buitenbeleving.


Als het eigendom zelf niet genoeg is om je te vermaken, is Anderson Island een absolute schat die de moeite waard is om te verkennen met zoveel verborgen pareltjes overal verspreid.

Bezoek de schilderachtige algemene winkel en het café op weg naar de accommodatie om de nodige ingrediënten van s'mores en eventuele trekjes op te halen om het verblijf nog aangenamer te maken.

Mis het zwemgat van het eiland aan het Florence-meer niet voor warme dagen! Maak er een dagje van door 's middags een picknick te nemen of een duik te nemen om af te koelen. Breng het paddleboard of de kano mee om het verblijf te verlengen en het water te verkennen. Het meer heeft gebieden afgeboord voor kleine kinderen, een dok in het midden voor de grote kinderen en volwassenen om naar beneden te glijden en eraf te springen. Sluit af met een spelletje zandvolleybal. Bruinen op het zandstrand terwijl de kinderen naar hartelust zwemmen en zandkastelen bouwen bij het meer.


Anderson Island biedt ook de Riviera Community Club voor een unieke ronde golf. De golfbaan biedt een goed onderhouden 9-holes golfbaan en restaurant Riviera Lakeshore voor een heerlijke maaltijd. (Tijdelijk gesloten voor renovaties) Een leuke manier om een pauze te nemen en samen te binden als vrienden en familie.

The photos don’t do it justice!

This place looked incredible from the photos, but they fall short to how gorgeous this place is. The property is huge and pretty private, protected by a GIANT tree that perfectly shades the deck and house without blocking the view of the water! We had a little doe, some geese and goslings visit the yard almost every day and a couple seals and heron that frequented the water. The paddle boards and kayaks were perfect and it was super easy to cruise around the bay. It was hard for us to leave, was incredibly peaceful and fun! The ferry is pretty easy as well (though you only need tickets to get to the island, not to leave it) and was honestly kinda a nice pace, we saw dolphins and orcas during our ferry trips!

Quiet cabin on the beach!

This was perfect for a quick 2 night new years visit. We enjoyed the game room, pickleball court and hot tub! Not much to do on the island but that's what we wanted, somewhere quiet to enjoy with the kids! Would love to come back in the summer.

Peaceful Tranquillity on the Water

Our family really enjoyed the quiet beauty of this amazing water-front location. The accommodations were fantastic and clean, and the amenities (hot tub, pickle ball court, games, ping pong, canoe, row boat, rope swing) provided for lots of fun and great memories. The hosts are wonderful to communicate with as well! Highly recommend!

Amazing stay...again

We just returned from our second trip at Merlene's house, and it was just as good as our first experience. We love the calm and serene setting on Amsterdam Bay! There are so many activities to do on the property, that you really don't even need to leave. Some of our favorite activities include: looking for crabs on the shore, finding wildlife in the Puget Sound, using the rope swing up the hill, and picking blackberries. It is a great place if you have children, or if you just want some peace and quiet. We are already planning our trip again for next summer.

Sunshine Daydream

Quiet. The key word here is "Peaceful". Watching the tide roll in and back out had an almost hypnotic effect on our little group. A profoundly curative influence that we will remember for a long, long time. Merlene and Loren have created an oasis that they should be very proud of. The sunsets were a delight. The house is a comfortable living space nestled beneath a huge shady tree. The amenities are top drawer. The kitchen is so well appointed that all of our expectations were surpassed. Wonderful house & property

We had so much fun out on the water raft in the bay and swimming in the lake that’s a 5 min drive away! The kitchen and BBQ are great-we ate out on the deck spotting wildlife each night! Thank you for sharing your wonderful place with us once again!

Quiet retreat

What a wonderful lake house retreat! Owner met us at property upon check in. So many fantastic amenities for the whole family. We enjoyed the canoe and kayak, pickleball court, ping pong table etc. If I had any complaints it would be the tubes inside the BBQ out back were rusted and cracked open so flame wasn't well controlled. House was very musty due to age. Overall we had a very nice trip. Thank you.

Lovely family getaway

We had a lovely stay. Traveling with a toddler, I appreciated that the playground is gated. Our kids had a great time on the playground (better than pictures!), swings all around the property and entertainment options available (foosball, water crafts, volleyballs, so much more!). The house was clean-- so much so that I didn't even feel the need to sanitize upon arrival as I often do in rentals. Our host was very gracious to come and deliver extra dish washer detergent pods. The kitchen is large, with great pots and pans to use (a rarity with rentals!). Two dishwashers is a cook's dream! The soft ice machine was my personal fav in the kitchen. Bring some flavored syrups and make snow cones! A few items to note for planning purposes-- you definitely want to bring all food items with you to the island. Waiting for the ferry can definitely add a decent amount of travel time, but there is ice cream and playgrounds at Steilacoom! The living room at the rental is sunken with a few steps. Overall, the views were amazing, access to water great. The property has plenty of activities onsite-- no need to leave unless you want to go explore other parts of the island. A lovely property and home and we will for sure return. Thank you so much!

The Perfect Family Getaway!

We have stayed at many homes in the Puget Sound and this one by far is our new favorite! The grounds are large and comfortable offering everything a family could want - beach front, grass to play in, gardens and orchards to explore, playground, pickleball and so much more. Our family LOVES to cook and eat meals outside. The kitchen is large with multiple cooking tops, dishwashers, and large counter space. The deck was our favorite place to be! Sometimes the summer heat at other homes on the sound makes it hard to be outside in the afternoon, but the wonderful tree that grows next to the deck here offers amazing shade on the home and deck for every meal and an afternoon nap!

Amazing stay on a gorgeous property!

This family home is situated on a small orchard and had activities to keep our little family busy for over a week! A pickleball court, kayaks, a canoe, ping pong, fusbol, a hot tub, endless grass, a garden and an orchard! One of the cleanest homes we've ever stayed in and had an amazing kitchen. We had campfires at the waters edge nearly every night! We can't wait to return for another stay!

Happy Place

Merlene is an amazing hosts and always has everything you could need on the property. She is always easily reached if need be or if we have any questions. Beautiful quiet escape

We so enjoyed our stay at the beach house. My toddler exhausted himself everyday playing on the swings, collecting seashells, and splashing pebbles into the bay. His grandparents enjoyed the sunsets, cozy blankets on the deck, and beautiful landscaping. The island also has well groomed walking paths and hiking trails perfect for families. We’re already checking our calendars for the next time we can all get together at the beach house.

My family enjoyed a cozy, snowy winter stay! Such s gorgeous spot with plenty of fun activities for the whole family and gorgeous views! The water is so clear and calm so we will look forward to a warmer month stay too. The owner is so kind and communicative. A south puget sound gem!

A Wonderful Place

We spent our Thanksgiving and weekend on the island. We enjoyed a canoe ride on the Puget Sound and saw Mt Rainier on the way back to the cove! We went for a drive and walked a trail again being blessed to see Mt Rainer. But the house was lovely, very comfortable with a large kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed playing Pickle Ball, Table Tennis and Foosball, finding shells and enjoying the water. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We highly recommend this property!

Life Changing Expedition

The perfect place to stay and relax.

This was second stay at the beach house., it was so great the first time, I came back and will visit again in the future. The beach house is immaculate, secluded, and extremely relaxing. It was the perfect place to stay and unwind. Merlene (the host) is incredibly friendly and responsive. There is no better place to stay.
