Ruim en comfortabel strand huisje op 2 afgelegen acres in prime Aquinnah locatie, druipend van typische MV karakter en charme. Gelegen op een heuvel met een 180 graden uitzicht van Vineyard Sound en de Elizabeth-eilanden, van Menemsha van de Gay Head vuurtoren. Ontzagwekkende Aquinnah zonsondergangen !! Geniet van het panoramische uitzicht vanuit de windowed grote kamer, de ruime benedendek, of het dak dek voor een ongeëvenaarde ervaring !! Slechts enkele minuten van de kliffen, Philbin Beach, Lobsterville Beach en West Basin. Voorzieningen zijn onder andere drie slaapkamers, 1 1/2 badkamers, een volledige eten in de keuken, buitendouche, slaapbank, satelliet-tv, wifi internet, buiten 10 personen eettafel, wasmachine / droger, strandlakens en stoelen, houtskoolgrill, en open haard. Beach stickers voor alle Aquinnah stranden inbegrepen. 8 personen.

Amazing time

The house has great historical charm, is immaculate with and incredible view from the roof-deck. My favorite room is the dining/livingroom. Huge room with full view of the outdoors and a fabulous stone fireplace. The location was just what i was hoping; quiet, beautiful and spacious.Loved it!

We enjoyed our time here. The house sits is in a very quiet landscape. Remote and relaxing. Just what we have been looking for. Quick drive to beautiful beaches and the cliffs near Gays Lighthouse. Highly recommend this gem.

Aquinaah is awesome!!!

Property was as described and the vacation was as prescribed. The home is perfectly secluded on a large (2 acres ??) lot. Views of the sunsets and lighthouse were very nice. The home is humble but comfortable. We did not use the kitchen outside of making coffee but seemed to have what we needed. We didn’t turn on the tv but enjoyed the fireplace. We found spots to read and relax throughout the home. Our pup loved running around the huge property. The neighbor’s collie came by each morning to check on us. A really low key spot to just hang out and enjoy. And we did.

No HEAT - off-season renters be aware

If you are staying off-season - there is NO HEAT!! It was 40°F at night and we had a 1 yr old… deceiving write-up did not mention no heat, yet they are renting in October in MA, and did have a high level of details like provides toilet paper and paper towels!! House seems like it would be great during summer… but we could not stay there and host was not open to financial discussion on this - sadly it ended with us without a place to stay.

Piece of paradise

My sister and I spent five days with my parents in this cottage in early October and we loved every minute of it. The views are just breathtaking, and the living/dining room with the fireplace was our favorite spot. It’s a short drive or 20 minute walk to the lighthouse, and at most a 40 minute drive to get to pretty much any other place on the island. We loved the seclusion and being away from everything.

Annual family reunion

This was our second year staying at the property and the experience was just as great as the first time. The three grandchildren (ages 12, 6, 3) had plenty of running around room on the beautiful lawn as adults watched from the deck. On the occasional rainy day they were inside playing games or working on craft projects on the long dining table. I would highly recommend staying at this property - Thank you again Colin for a memorable time for our family!

We could not have had a more relaxed two weeks! Colin was a tremendously responsive host and we truly appreciated his hospitality. This property is beyond compare if you want privacy and ocean views, easy access to beaches and trail walks. The stone fireplace was a grand spot to sit around in the evenings and reflect on the day. Family reunion

Our stay in Aquinnah was wonderful - in spite of the off and on again weather. The house was very comfortable and worked very well for our multi generational group: 4 adults, 1 five year old, 1 two year old, and 1 eleven year old. It actually exceeded our expectations - the pictures do not do justice to the property and the interior spaces. We enjoyed cooking and eating most meals at "home". Lobsterville beach - a five minute drive is terrific, kid friendly and lovely. I would highly recommend staying at this property - Thank you Colin for a memorable time for our family!

Fall Getaway

The house was exactly what we needed for our trip. It was clean and cozy with beautiful views. After coffee on the deck we ventured out for various bike trails during the day and returned at night for fantastic sunsets and relaxing food and drink with friends. Tremendous Experience

This home is beautiful and is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood away from the more "touristy" spots. It's a short drive to some nice shops in Aquinnah and great beaches. The view from the outside is outstanding, you can see beautiful sunsets over the Gay Head lighthouse from either porch each night and the roof top deck is a great place to take some exceptional pictures. The home was outfitted nicely and well thought out for my family of 5 during our stay, even including some toys for kids to play with. There was a large selection of dishes and cook-ware/dish-ware, even beach towels and coolers. Everything we could think of that we would need when we arrived ended up being there for us to use, for example we wanted to go out on the roof top deck for some photos at night but we didn't bring flashlights and we found that not only were there two flashlights but also two LED lanterns for us to use. There's a large yard surrounding the home that's perfect for kids to play outside and explore the nature surrounding it and being in a nice quiet neighborhood is definitely a big plus for that as well. The downside of being away from the more populated areas of the island is that you will have to do some traveling to get groceries and stuff like that but with the island being relatively small it's only about a half hour from everything. Colin was a fantastic host and always responded to our messages within minutes before and during our stay. If you're looking for something nice, quiet and unique on Marthas Vineyard this is it!

A beautiful property, inviting and restful

Seven of us stayed in this summer cottage and appreciated the well-outfitted kitchen and large, airy family/dining room. We enjoyed the two decks, eating at the big outdoor table with the blue umbrella, and the lovely sounds of birds and ocean surf. The house is a few minutes' drive from the Aquinnah Cliffs and Gay Head Light, a beautiful part of the island.
