'I went to a Humboldt 30 years ago and chose to stay at the Hotel Arcata while on a recent college tour visit with our son. 'Easily the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in, and comfortable too.The property is so well maintained and the gardens are wonderful. As others have noted, the breakfast far exceeded any expectations we had. So much so, my husband threatened to lick the baking dish! Will be looking for recipes to try and duplicate.Only wish it had been warm enough to eat outside. My highest recommendation!'

'The Pinc Lady Mansion fell more like visiting a great friend or family member. We were greeted at the door with a warm smile and a historic tour by the owner Jacqueline! In the evening we were even treated to live music! The Mansion is within walking distance of many great restaurants, shopping, and directly across the street from the historic Carson Mansion. 'The staff were so friendly and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was beyond amazing and way more than we expected, we actually had a hard time picking because everything looked so good! The quiche was delicious, and the fresh juices were such a nice touch to keep you energized and feeling good.
