  • Enjoy this quaint, unique 1 bedroom 1 bathroom little gem that is only 2 blocks from the beach! Super clean and cozy little retreat centrally located of too many activities and sights to list! This 1 bedroom 1 bathroom unit is the perfect escape for the budget minded. It's cozy atmosphere has so much to offer including air conditioning, fully equipped kitchen, desk and work area, queen bed and a fully supplied bathroom. This vacation home is located in Jarealito, a neighborhood in Arecibo. Cano Tiburones Nature Reserve and Camuy River Cave Park reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Arecibo Observatory and Parque Acuatico,
    Cano Tiburones Nature Reserve - 3 min walk, La Poza Beach - 3 min walk, Playa Caza y Pesca - 10 min walk, Playa El Muelle - 15 min walk, and Arecibo Lighthouse - 18 min walk. Please be advise that power outages are common in PR and we do not have a power generator in the unit. If a power outage happens during your stay, there will be no reimbursable nights.

Clean, nicely furnished. Good wifi, tv.

More like a large studio with no divider between bedroom and kitchen. Lots of light. No shades or blinds. Kitchen table was too small. No hot water in kitchen or bathroom sink. Electric heater for shower which worked well. An extra house key would be helpful. Seemed a little expensive compared to other places we stayed in Puerto Rico, .but maybe you can negotiate. Lots of dogs barking and roaming around but not dangerous. Some broken down cars on the street and abandoned buildings but we felt very safe walking around the neighborhood. Neighbors were friendly. Roosters and doves clucking and cooing may keep you awake but I'm a very light sleeper. Good grocery store/restaurant around the corner. Wife loved the salami sandwich. Had one there and one to go for plane ride home. Some good truck food on 681 on way into town.

Mini Vacaciones

Mi estadia fue del 3 al 6 de julio, decidimos estar en el area de arecibo pq mi esposo es de arecibo de dominguito, el hogar esta igual que en las fotos, el vecindario le doy un 4 pq se ve muy sucio, me imprecione cuando llegamos y mi esposo me dice en que nos metimos, pq para el precio que pagamos es mucho dinero, la casa de lo unico que no apruebo fue la ducha muy poca agua y bañarnos pegados a la pared, y la puerta y ventanas no tienen cortinas y estuvimos toda la noche lidiando que poner para que la luz de la marquesina no alumbrara el cuarto pq no podianos dormir, y el la mañana ya a las 6:00 am, toda la claridad dentro del cuarto, si me volveria quedar NO NO NO....PQ es muy alto el precio y el vecindario se ve horrible , hasta miedo da, y luego los vecinos de alfrente bloqueariaron la entrada, y nos miran como que carajo hacen aqui., fue unas mini vacaciones bendecida pero el lugar no lo recomiendo.... a menos que el agua y la claridad esten mejor pero el vevidario NO.

Super cozy, clean, comfortable place & attentive and sweet host

First I want to say I am so grateful I had such a sweet, attentive, prompt, and helpful host.I will be honest to other travelers that the neighborhood itself may seem a bit run down. This house and a couple houses across the road are definitely the nicest on the block, but it was very quiet, very safe, and the neighbors on the street are super friendly and kind.Once you are inside, it’s a super cozy and comfortable space. The bed is crazy comfortable compared to a couple other places we’ve stayed in PR. The shower actually gets warm, the couple other places didn’t really have warm water. There’s an awesome gate on the front patio area which was wonderful bc I had a small dog. I could sit out front and let her roam around safely, sniff other dogs passing, and stare at roosters.My boyfriend and my favorite beach is maybe a 5 minute drive away. There’s an adorable cafe called Simple about 5 minutes down the road as well, with many other awesome restaurants within 20 minute or less driving distance.Most of which allowed us to bring our small dog in. My boyfriend and I are also skydivers and this was conveniently located less than 20 minutes away from Skydive Puerto Rico. The beach close by is where skydivers will occasionally land.I was mostly impressed by how the host reacted to an unanticipated power outage. Something no one can really control. We got very frustrated at one point, but she kept communicating with us and the power company very well. It all worked out.
