'Captain Bill's Guest House was a wonderful choice for us. We wanted to go hiking at the various state parks in the area and there were several excellent ones nearby. 'We wanted a couple of days somewhere that wasn’t too far from home but made us feel as though we were, and that is EXACTLY what we got! We began our weekend by entering a BEAUTIFUL A-frame house with amply space and gorgeous furnishings. 'It was right in the thick of things and near everything. You can hear the train horns in the distance, and it had a nice big green yard. 'This place is AMAZING!!! So beautiful and relaxing. We kayaked, swam in the lake, fished and cooked on the grill for 3 days straight and it was glorious!! It even has its own private outdoor bathroom with plumbing and electricity! This is glamping at its finest! Richard was so kind and thoughtful and even brought us a turtle to see. The lake was beautiful with so much vegetation to see when kayaking. It also has a swimming dock that was awesome! I would 10/10 recommend this place!'
