The location was close to the Biltmore, which was our reason for being in the area. The room was clean and everything was in good condition, however, the walls and floors/ceilings are not soundproof at all! We could hear the people next to us just having a normal conversation. We also heard every footstep from the room above us. Fortunately, they slept when we did, so it worked out okay.

Hotel and room was exceptionally clean, however if you are looking for a quiet place to stay, this is not the hotel for you. We could hear every little thing in the rooms beside us. The walls are paper thin. Not a huge deal, but something to note.

It was very nice. It’s new so no funky smell at least. Bed and pillows nice. Great view of mountains from window. Room was small but everything you needed, great use of space. I liked the pegs to hang stuff on. The AC was very loud. I just shut it off, it was annoying. The frig made a noise. Just enough to irritate you and try to figure out where it’s coming from. The walls are paper thin. Loved the hand soap and body soap. Lemon sugar, very nice! The main thing I didn’t like was a yappy dog barking before bed and another big dog at 5:50AM with a big bark. I think if you’re going to allow dogs and cats, they need to be kept in certain rooms only and at the end of hall first floor where they don’t have to go down the hall and into elevator. I didn’t realize dogs and cats were allowed or I wouldn’t have stayed here. I’m allergic to pet hair and even though it looked very clean, you can’t get rid of all the smell of an animal. Location was great! Close to Biltmore and Blue Ridge Parkway!

When I made my reservation I was told that they have gluten free items at breakfast. I found out when I ate breakfast on September 22 that there were only scrambled eggs and fruit that were gluten free items. I No clear instructions on bathtub handles for water. Never figured out what handle was for stationary sprayer or for hand held sprayer. No one knew how to start the computer in the business area until the IT person came to work. When I checked back later I found out that the computer was broken. It took quite a bit of time to figure how to get the television to the regular channels instead of the premium channels. Once I figured it out the picture was great. No freezer section in the refrigerator. Also no microwave or coffee maker in rooom. Lack of drawers for storing clothes. Items had to be stored underneath television stand. Room was suppose to be king bed but was two queen beds. Phone listing next to phone had no indication on how to get connected to front desk.

A wonderful, clean and stylish hotel. Loved the hanging nest chairs in the lobby and the firepit outside. Oh and a pool table! What a nice surprise!

This relatively new hotel is definitely for a younger crowd. The lobby has games, a pool table, and a bar. I liked that they are "green" - recycling, refillable shampoo, etc. Overall, fantastic place to stay.

First Time at Tru
First time in a Tru, normally stay in Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn. Quick get away, booked on Friday and though why not. Pleasantly surprised with the hotel, will definitely have them on my list for future stays.
