Unfortunately my exposure with booking through Expedia did not go as planned. I thought I booked the hotel in Ashland, KY but mistakenly booked the hotel in Ashland, OH. I did not realize this mistake until I actually got to the Quality Inn in Ashland, KY. The front desk told me there are 3 Ashlands (Ohio, Kentucky and nearby West Virginia). I was past my cutoff time and was charged for a missed stay. Disappointed that the Quality Inns are not connected because I did get a room at the Quality Inn in Ashland, KY.

Hello Julia,hotel has cancelation policy-24 hour prior to check in if you cancel -no charge but within 24 hour cancel or no show charge for 1 night. you should have this by Expedia. you booked this hotel room on april4 so you had enough time to cancel-but you did not do that. so you need to check before you book it. hotel policy for everyone will be same.

Hello Tierra,first you did not allow to stay & try to misuse property.when you know you are 4 or 5 people you should book 2 queen beds before come to hotel. that day hotel sold out 2 beds.you booked by expedia one bed king size and that room only two peoples maximum can go. if one little kid is ok, we let it go but first you said 3 adult and then you said two adult and two kids. told her that many peoples we are not allowed in one bed for safety & security purpose.

The friendly, professional, caring staff made the difference between this last-minute stay being stressful (car issues) and, instead, being exceptionally pleasant and relaxing. Really appreciated the 24-hour-accessibility to bottled water. Exceptional customer care that made us feel welcome and at home. Kudos!

Hello Darryll -your reservation on Expedia still be showing us 2 nights so it means you didn’t modify your reservation that day while you checked in . Hotel front desk educated to you need to cancel second night from Expedia because hotel have to pay commission to Expedia for 2 nights . We happy to sent receipt but hotel doesn’t see your email on file so call hotel & provide email. Thanks

Room stunk like rotten corpus. Mold in the bathroom. floors dirty as hell. exhaust fan inop. No tissue in dispenser. Door would not lock properly nor would it close right. Breakfast sucked. not sure what the "meat" links were

The hotel was dated, the front desk tried to charge me before I got there; then didn’t give me the king room I reserved but a queen room with a pull out couch. I normally choose Choice Hotels but this one has me rethinking my decisions.

Nothing unique,comfortable bed but on metal frame that made loud noise when getting into & out of bed . Carpeting dingy except in hallways. Sofa &chairs in rooms dingy and dirty. No room service. Would not recommend.

Our room smelled musky we had to air it out by opening the window...there was stains on the chair and carpets in the halls. Also the hot tub was out of order and that was a big part of why the hotel was chosen. There was only 2 towels in a room meant for 4

Clean yes...HOWEVER...
Would you like to receive a lecture about the evils of booking online through sites like hotels.com? Would you like to have printed or hand-written signs everywhere you look exclaiming, "Don't do this..." "No doing this..."? If such elements add to your stay, this is certainly the place for you! Add to this how there are no options to adjust the length or dates of your stay once they are booked. In short, yes the place was clean. Updated? Ehhh...not overly. But the various other elements of our stay made me decide that I would recommend nearly ANYWHERE else if you have an option.

Advertised pool through expedia but it has been broken since December and the person behind the counter could have cared less about it and refused to even talk us about it.

Hello Michael,I am very sorry you feel that way.I never rude with you , I simply explain you pool was closed from December 24-2022 due to mother nature(-50 F DAMAGE POOL FACILITY )which was already update on choice hotels website from december-24-2022 pool is temporary out of order. we are working on it put back hopefully soon. I reserved a room in advance for a family member who attempted to check in at 10:00 pm with two children only to be treated with such disrespect and absolutely NO customer service skills except to say” that is the oolicy@. I was not present to show an ID but my D-in-law tried to convey this and present her ID. The credit card for payment was already registered with the hotel. The receptionist was rude, and not helpful what so ever. Expedia was notified to see if this hotel payment could be cx and applied to a hotel across the street. I was told “no”. Again, “ that is the policy “. I will NEVER use Expedia again AND I will convey to everyone wanting to book to NOT use Expedia. I do not give reviews (good or bad) normally, but for the type of experience we encountered a BAD review is justified!!! I am assuming that this review will /will not be reviewed and if it is, their will not be a response back . Very very disappointed!!

It as ok.
Bed was not very comfortable and pillows were also not comfortable. Our room was also missing the safely door lock. It was completely missing...so if we wanted to answer the door, not knowing who was there, then someone could just open the door since there was no safely lock. Was not comfortable without that.

Mostly a good stay and I would return again
Overall I had a good stay. The first room I was assigned had an odor of urine, but when I reported it to the front desk the next room they took me to was clean and smelled good. The bed was very comfortable - average firmness with a nice, soft and comfortable topper. No other issues except the breakfast. The eggs and sausage were just ok and the juices did not taste good at all. They did have waffles and other carbs that looked okay and they also had fruit, so I did at least get a breakfast before hitting the road.

The front desk staff (especially night shift) were extremely courteous, helpful, professional. The rooms were nice, beds and bedding very comfortable. Some of the areas and the rooms were dirty.

This was a very disappointing stay in my hometown of Ashland. While the young lady who met us at the desk was pleasant, she kept telling me about all the things we can't do. That must have included the broken down hot tub, which we really wanted. The real issues came from cleanliness. The hallways had a certain odor that was not welcoming. Our room was VERY musty and smelled of old basement. The windows have not been cleaned in forever. The carpet had a damp, squishy quality to it. The lights were unwelcome hospital lights. On a good note, the bed was okay and the sheets were clean from what we could tell. The in room chair was moldy, which made it hard to sleep with the smell. Finally, not all the lights in the bathroom did not work. While we would have said something, I feared I would just be told nothing else was available. We just endured for one night. Breakfast was okay at best.
