zeer slechte buurt, iedereen in de stad die we de weg vroegen reageerde met: Wees voorzichtig. De staat van het hotel was zeer primitief en basic. Het bed was zeer smal voor 2 personen en dan moet je ook i deken en 1 laken delen.........dat kon écht niet. Gelukkig had ik extra dekbedhoezen bij ons!! Personeel was zeer vriendelijk, behulpzaam

The surrounding area is not something tha we can control although we are regularly trying to press the authorities to improve the area. It is a common urban low budget neighborhood that gathers people from all over the world. As far as it concerns our beds they are standard sized double beds and we could have provided you more blankets if you had asked for them. Thank you very much again for your comments . 24/7 zijn er drugsverslaafden aan het vechten en schreeuwen.

Slecht hotel. De wc deur kon niet eens op slot. het hotel is slecht onderhouden personeel onvriendelijk en willen je niet helpen. Het hotel is wel mooi gelegen. Het is vooral slecht gesteld met de Hygiene van dit hotel. Wij slapen hier nooit meer

Toen we aankwamen was de kamer smerig, ramen konden niet dicht, slechte bedden en veel geluid. De douche zat vol met schimmel. De kamer is in 4(!) dagen tijd 1 keer schoongemaakt. Personeel was heel onvriendelijk. En het hotel ligt in een zeer slechte wijk. We zouden nog een laatste dag terug komen maar voor de laatste dag hebben we een ander hotel geboekt. We would like also to inform you that according hotels policy we clean the rooms every three days and the shared bathrooms every day. The neighborhood is not dangerous. Geen plek wat ik aan andere zou aanraden. Je kan liever op straat leven. Het is verschrikkelijk om daar te overnachten

Vieze en vervallen kamers, gelegen in een achterstandsbuurt. Wel vriendelijk personeel en een lage prijs. Kortom, heb je geen eisen en ben je blij met een slecht bed voor een lage prijs, dan is dit een geschikt hotel, anders: NIET DOEN!

Perfecte prijs-kwaliteit verhouding
Hoewel er door de mevrouw van de Tourist Information werd gezegd dat dit hotel in de slechtste wijk ligt, namelijk Omonia, is ons dit heel erg meegevallen. De eigenaar van het hotel is super aardig en verteld precies waar je wel en niet moet komen. Kamer is eenvoudig maar erg schoon. Enige minpunt is het ontbreken van een airco. Al met al een fijn verblijf in dit hotel gehad!

Stayed for a week - had a bedbug issue and developed over 20 bites over the course that stay. Was told by someone who stays here once in a while that it is not an uncommon issue. After telling front desk, I was informed that the best they could do was to change my sheets, but it did not happen. The turnover rate is high and would not recommend the mixed dorm room for solo female travelers unless you are relatively comfortable with multiple male roommates. A lot of people stay for one or two nights then leave. Upon arrival, the air-conditioning was also not functioning, but they tried to fix it within a few days. Luckily it was not the peak of summer but was still quite warm and stuffy. Soundproofing is virtually non-existent: expect to be able to hear others taking calls from the next-door room. The showerhead is also a bit problematic but it's an easy fix. Bring a lock for the locker and your own towel. Overall, decent place for bare necessities of staying the night and showering. Staff did try their best to help me and were helpful and friendly. The place is quite old - operating since 1960s, so breakdowns are to be expected but I had a brief conversation with the owner who helped me resolve an issue at night, he was helpful and engaging. Conclusion: Would not recommend except for extreme budgeting and bare necessities of a bed shower.

Read the reviews before you book. Even those giving it 2-3 stars mention the BED BUGS. Had to cancel my stay there due to their unchecked bed bug situation. It seems it's been going on forever and nothing it's done about it. They wont bother to answer if you try contact them

I was delighted with my room with a view with private balcony and bathroom and fridge for a excellent price. The staff were very nice and helpful at any hour. The location was incredibly convenient and central. I will definitely stay here again

BED BUGS- AVOID AND READ REVIEWS
Place should not be allowed to operate. Hotel is riddled in bed bugs. Staff are completely aware and don’t care. We asked to change rooms and the second room had more bed bugs. We arrived late so ended at walking around Athens at 4am to try find another hotel so that we didn’t spread the infestation. Complete health and safety risk. DO NOT BOOK. READ THE REVIEWS FIRST. Refused a refund.

It is a dirty, gross hostel. Many hostels are quite nice to stay at, but this one is really dirty, cramped. The staff are very unprofessional and not friendly. The pictures on their ad don't match what its really like. The neighbourhood (especially at night), is sketchy and unsafe. There are drugs, and garbage and graffiti everywhere. If you're looking to save some money on your trip, try elsewhere.

Dirty, crowded, unpleasant.
Unfriendly staff, dirty and crowded dorms, doesn't look like the photos at all, bathrooms were all broken and dirty. If you want to save money on your trip, don't go here, not worth it. The neighbourhood is really dirty and covered in graffiti, smells like urine, and sketchy looking. I made a 3 week reservation because it was inexpensive, but I showed up after midnight because my flight, and they cancelled my reservation and kept all my money. Front desk wanted me to pay them a second time to stay. I stayed the one night because I was too tired to be making reservations in the middle of the night. It was not worth the stay.

This "hotel" should be closed down immediately! AVOID! ⚠️⚠️ Bed bugs absolutely infested in our room, crawling everywhere! Disgusting hygiene, grotty shower and toilet. We knew not to expect much for the price, but this was absolutely unhygienic and infested! Other group checking in at the same time as us saw their room, and immediately left. We decided to stay to try it, only to realise 2 hours later that our room was crawling with bed bugs. Very very unsafe area, especially for women. We were warned by waiters to avoid this area. On the only positive note, the receptionist was friendly. SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN !!! 🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫

Einfaches Hostel. Leider recht hellhörig. Leider mit Bettwanzen. Hab das auch von anderen Gästen gehört. Schade. Netten hilfsbereites Personal an der Rezeption. Direkte Nachbarschaft nicht so toll, aber nah zum Omonia Platz und Ausgehviertel Psirri. Viele Möglichkeiten für Frühstück in der Nähe.

Alles war ok, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war gut. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein Kritikpunkt war das Frühstück und der Kaffee. Die Bezeichnung- Frühstücks-Büffet war total irreführend, es war weder ein Büffet noch ... und der Kaffee war mehr als miserabel.

Hostal was close to centre, about 10-15 walking. The reception area smelled horrible all the ten days we were there. We found about 3 roaches in our room, my daughter end up with bed bugs on her, we had to wait for 20 mins for hot water, and WiFi didn’t work, it work for 10 percent of the time we were there. We mostly relied on the hop on bus WiFi or the restaurant to communicate. Not worth it, there are others places around in a much better condition. Oh and the towels had stains on it “disgusting” we asked for new ones and they said we had to wait for 3 days to get towels changed

The staff were very friendly and helpful! The bathrooms were clean, and we had everything we needed. My friend and I (two young women) did not feel the safest walking to and from the center of Athens to the hotel, but that might be expected in any city. We would stay there again.
